President Joe Biden never approved of Donald Trump‘s humiliating nickname, “Sleepy Joe,” so he unleashed his inner Dark Brandon on the real estate mogul.
The leader of the Democratic Party delivered a fiery speech at a Labor Day rally in Pennsylvania, where he did a deep dive into Donald Trump’s résumé.
With reports swirling in the past few weeks revealing that the former president has been swelling his fortune, Joe Biden could not resist the urge to mock his credentials as a real estate developer.
The current president ridiculed Trump for loudly and endlessly claiming to be a “great real estate” developer. Biden told the roaring crowd that Trump “didn’t build a damn thing.”
POTUS stated: “Guess what? The great real-estate builder, the last guy here, he didn’t build a damn thing.”
Joe Biden went on to slam Donald Trump for the empty promises on infrastructure that he made during his presidency.
Biden claimed that former President Trump talked about rebuilding American roads and bridges as a way to grab headlines.
He shared: “Under my predecessor, ‘Infrastructure Week’ became a punchline. On my watch, infrastructure means a decade, and it’s a headline.”
Biden went on to enumerate all of Trump’s failed policies by saying: “When the last guy was here, you were shipping jobs to China. Now we’re bringing jobs home from China. When the last guy was here, your pensions were at risk. We helped save millions of pensions with your help.”
Biden painted a negative portrait of where Donald Trump came from — a multi-million-dollar apartment in New York.
He said: “When the last guy was here, he looked at the world from Park Avenue. I look at it from Scranton, Pa. I look at it from Claymont, Del. Not a joke.”
Joe Biden got personal by sharing his life story about coming from a lower middle-class family and working like hell to climb the social ladder.
The man from Scranton, Pennsylvania told his supporters: “Folks all my time in public office, I’ve been referred to as ‘Middle-Class Joe.’ I guess they thought that was uh, somehow not very complimentary.”
Talking to everyday hard-working Americans, Biden stated: “Well, guess what, that’s who I am. And it doesn’t mean you’re not sophisticated because you’re middle class, it means you work like hell. And you know what your family has to work like hell to be able to make it.”
The two men are likely to face off in the 2024 general election.
