Prince Harry has been fighting in court to have the possibility of calling England home.
The former soldier is desperate to travel to London with his wife, Meghan Markle, and his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Prince Harry has hired the top lawyers to defend him in his ongoing battle against the Home Office after it refused to let him pay for his security while in his home country.
In an emotional statement read in court last week, Prince Harry poured his heart out to the court. Prince Harry confessed that he is determined to share his British heritage with his children.
The author stated: “It was with great sadness to both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020. The U.K. is my home. The U.K. is central to the heritage of my children and a place where I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the United States. That cannot happen if there is no possibility to keep them safe when they are on U.K. soil.”
He continued: “I can’t put my wife in danger like that, and given my experiences in life, I’m reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm’s way too.”
While Prince Harry might not be aware of it, Markle is walking around their Montecito mansion with a heavy secret — she is not interested in ever returning to England.
Many royal experts and authors have revealed in the past few weeks that the former actress was traumatized by her experience in England and has no plans to reproduce it.
In the past few months, Prince Harry has made several trips to England, including to King Charles III‘s coronation without Markle.
According to royal expert and UK broadcaster Tessa Dunlop, there is a reason why the actress is avoiding England: the British do not deserve her presence.
Dunlop said: “On this occasion, I suspect Meghan’s no-show in London says more about her antipathy towards Britain, than the couple’s relationship. We don’t deserve her, at least, so she probably thinks.”
She added: “Also, there’s that outstanding issue regarding the couple’s UK security and who pays for it.”
Writer Omid Scobie, who spoke to several of Markle’s close friends, revealed that she “never really felt at home” in the UK and “never wants to step foot in England again.”
The Duchess of Sussex should unburden herself of that load so Prince Harry can stop fighting for something she is not interested in.
