The reason is simple — Prince William is determined to keep as much of his life with his wife, Kate Middleton, private as possible to protect some of their personal space and maintain a sense of normalcy in their relationship.
The heir to the throne is aware that he is a public figure who has some accountability for the public.
He also agrees that some matters should be in the public domain, but he will go against King Charles III and The Fim to keep a few details under wraps.
Royal historian Amanda Foreman explained to PEOPLE Magazine: “It is really impressive how they are still able to command all this secrecy.They are totally running this.”
One part of Prince William’s life is an open book — his love for his wife. The pair has been together for over 20 years, and they have been each other’s pillar of support no matter the tribulation.
The couple has demonstrated their love for each other during Middleton’s cancer battle revelation and their appearance at a big gathering.
They did not hide their tight bond during Trooping the Colour’s memorable picture on Buckingham Palace’s balcony.
Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith explained: “To use the late Queen‘s language, they are each other’s strength and stay for all these years; she will continue to be a real source of strength for him as he prepares to be the next King. Another secret that Prince William is not hiding is the critical role that his mother-in-law, Carole Middleton, plays in his marriage.
Days after the Trooping ceremony, Prince William happily attended the Royal Ascot with his mother-in-law. The pair were seen chatting and posing for pictures.
Prince William also rushed to rescue Mrs. Middleton after her shoes got stuck in the grass at the sporting event. The Daily Mail explained that Carole Middleton is the secret weapon in Prince William and Prince Kate‘s happy union.
The outlet shared: “The natural moment, caught in a charming set of photographs, was a touching reminder of the close bond that the Prince has forged with the Middletons – and Carole is now an indispensable part of the Wales’ close-knit family unit. She enjoys making Prince William his favorite cheese snack on toast and stocks up on the sea salt chocolates he likes.”
According to one source, Princess Kate and Prince William formed an “insular unit” with Carole and her husband Michael. The person in the know added: “You could say that Kate and William, unlike most couples with a set of in-laws, feel most at ease and happiest with their parents around. Tensions dissipate, and there’s a party atmosphere.”
Another revealed why Prince William loves and depends on Carole: “He is in thrall to her capabilities, tenacity, high-energy levels, superb organizational skills, and networking. Above anyone else, she knows what makes Kate happy and what type of staff she will gel with, and she understands her overriding need for loyalty and privacy. Carole leaves nothing to chance.”
