Adele has a habit of staying out of the public eye unless she is promoting her music.
However, recently, the legendary artist has found herself in the headlines after her close friend and comedian made a disturbing revelation about her unfortunate run-in with the controversial Church Of Scientology.
In an interview with The Mirror, Alan Carr explained that Adele owns a stunning, secret mansion in East Grinstead in the UK.
According to Carr, senior church members have contacted her, hoping to convince her to sell the massive property, including a swimming pool and helicopter pad.
Despite her refusal, the group persisted, only to get rejected again. Alan Carr explained: “Adele has a secret house in East Grinstead, and the Scientologists tried to buy it off her. She has deliberately chosen the least showbiz place she can think of so she can live a normal, unflashy existence to raise her son, Angelo, out of the limelight.”
The Church of Scientology was desperate to purchase Adele’s mansion to expand its Sussex foothold. The Mirror had more details about the infamous HQ in Sussex by writing: “The 18th century Saint Hill Manor has been in the group’s ownership since 1959, when sci-fi writer L Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Church of Scientology, set up home there. It was the religion’s worldwide HQ until 1967.”
The Scientology Manor has been visited by Tom Cruise and other top figures in the organization multiple times.
John Travolta had an unfortunate run-in with the locals the last time he was at the headquarters — a restaurant in the area humbled him by declining his request to rent out the entire eatery.
It seems that Adele was not impressed by Cruise, Travolta, or any high-ranking member of the church because she sold the mansion to an unnamed buyer who has no ties to Scientology.
Adele has become a real estate developer, scoping million-dollar properties on two continents. Her latest purchase — a $58 million nest in Beverly Hills.
Adele purchased the home from Sylvester Stallone with their fiancé, Rich Paul.
Showing respect and admiration for Stallone, Adele bought the home under the condition that the massive statue of Rocky erected by Stallone remains intact.
Do not expect to see Adele in the headlines in the upcoming months; she has taken a long break to have a child and get married.
She recently told the audience in Germany: “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and want to live it now. I want to live the life that I’ve been building, and I will miss you terribly.”
She added: “But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time. And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break.”
The music star is in her own lane.
