In line with the monarchy’s century-old motto, King Charles III maintains a dignified silence, regardless of the source or nature of rumors and accusations.
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have extensively benefited from the monarchy’s almost unwavering stance on refusing to clarify rumors.
On rare occasions, King Charles III chooses to put his foot down on leaked or viral reports about him or the Royal Family.
Recently, Donald Trump found himself on the receiving ends of King Charles’s humbling scepter.
The former president and Prince William had a private meeting in France, during which they discussed a few issues where they could agree.
The heir to the British throne and Mr. Trump also talked about their private lives during the sit-down.
Donald Trump’s curiosity extended to personal matters as he quizzed Prince William about King Charles and Kate Middleton‘s battles with cancer.
Both Princess Kate and King Charles announced earlier this year that they had been diagnosed with cancer.
While Catherine, Princess of Wales, has completed chemotherapy, His Majesty is still undergoing treatment.
King Charles and Buckingham Palace have declined to reveal which type of cancer he is battling. He has not given much detail on his treatment.
And there are only scarce updates on King Charles’s condition via Prince William and Queen Camilla.
Following the meeting, the outspoken politician promptly briefed the media, sharing key points from their conversation.
Donald Trump told The New York Post: “And I asked him about his wife, and he said she’s doing well. I asked him about his father, who is fighting very hard, and he loves his father and his wife, so it was sad.”
King Charles expediently cleared the comments made by Donald Trump through BBC.
The news outlet explained: “The reference to the King “fighting hard” was described by royal sources as being about his efforts to continue living actively rather than a health update. The King has been receiving cancer treatment but has wanted to keep focusing on his work, with overseas trips expected for next year.”
Through its sources, Buckingham Palace has taken the initiative to dispel any confusion that may have arisen from Donald Trump’s comments.
The Palace insists that the treatment is going well. The publication shared: “King Charles will continue to need cancer treatment in 2025, it was revealed today. A Buckingham Palace source has said the 76-year-old’s health is still being ‘managed’ but is ‘moving in a positive direction.”
The insider said His Majesty intends to return to a complete program of public duties next year, which will include “exciting” UK and international visits in the first half of 2025.
The Palace source said: “His treatment has been moving in a positive direction, as a managed condition the treatment cycle will continue into the new year.”
King Charles has many projects and countless travel plans lined up for 2025.
