Kate Middleton has a new take on religion and how and where it is practiced.
For over two decades, Princess Kate has carved her own path within the Royal Family, demonstrating her independence and strength of character.
The Princess of Wales opted to complete her education before getting married. She then selected the causes and organizations that she wanted to focus on.
After having children, Catherine, Princess of Wales, decided how and where they would be educated. Moreover, she redefined the word “work” for the Royal Family after facing some health issues.
In a commendable move, Kate Middleton now carefully selects her appearances and royal engagements, strongly emphasizing mental well-being.
This week, Kate Middleton and Prince William boldly decided to break the Royal Family’s long-standing rule and tradition of the Easter walk, a symbolic event where the Royal Family parades to a church service on Easter Sunday.
According to a statement shared by Kensington Place, the Wales family has declined to take the traditional easter walk;
PEOPLE Magazine explained: “Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis won’t be going on an Easter outing with the Royal Family this year. Although King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other Royal Family members are set to attend the Easter Matins Service at Windsor Castle on Sunday, April 20, the Prince and Princess of Wales won’t be among them. Instead, Prince William and Princess Kate will spend the weekend with their children at their country home in Norfolk. Although Kate and William were regulars at the gathering throughout the years, they skipped last year’s outing amid Princess Kate’s cancer news, which was announced just weeks before, and spent the holiday privately.”
Following Middleton’s official announcement confirming that she completed her cancer treatment, she heavily implied that she would take a brand new approach in all aspects of her life, including her religious practices, which her personal journey with illness may have influenced.
Her new mindset is evident in her deeply personal and introspective approach to her faith as a religious woman, a journey that commands the utmost respect.
Middleton is now more focused on personal and private communion with God. She is no longer interested in the old and flashy methods that the royal palace has employed in the past to show off their deep devotion and belief in the all-mighty, such as public displays of religious observance and participation in traditional royal events.
That would explain why she no longer participates in Easter outings and will privately commemorate Jesus‘s crucifixion and resurrection.
Some would argue that the future King and Queen of England are rulebreakers, a common thread between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton, and Prince William.
While many in the Royal Family, including King Charles, are surprised by Kate Middleton’s way of living her faith, they support her in doing what is best for herself and her family.
