The death of Jeffrey Epstein shocked many, and details about the incident are still coming out very slowly due to the sensitive nature of the situation.
And while many expected Epstein’s alleged mistress and madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, to spend her time in private and avoid drawing attention to herself, that does not seem to be the case.
Not long after the financier’s death, Maxwell was pictured at a fast-food restaurant in Los Angeles. She was enjoying a burger and fries while reading The Book of Honor: The Secret Lives and Deaths of CIA Operatives, written by Ted Gup.
The woman was not accompanied by anyone except her dog and seemed to be enjoying her time alone. She quickly noticed that people were paying attention to her though, and reportedly exclaimed that she would not be eating at that place in the future.
Some have pointed out the strange nature of the situation, considering that Maxwell should probably expect a good amount of attention on her at the moment.
Perhaps she was hoping just to be ignored or allowed to enjoy her time in privacy, but that will be hard because many predict that she will be investigated by the authorities sooner than later.
Numerous women have accused the daughter of the late disgraced publishing tycoon Robert Maxwell of grooming girls for the fallen financier.
Virginia Giuffre, who said that she was forced by Epstein to have sex with England’s Prince Andrew and attorney Alan Dershowitz sued Maxwell who claimed she was lying about the abuse.
According to court documents, Giuffre claimed that at the age of 16 she was recruited by Maxwell to work at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Giuffre stated that Maxwell trained her to become Epstein’s sex slave.
Another accuser named Priscilla claims that Maxwell taught her how to make Epstein happy by showing her the proper way to perform oral sex.
Investment banker Euan Rellie recently told The Cut that the socialite worked diligently to provide Epstein with young females and added: “Every pretty girl in New York in those days, Ghislaine would invite to Jeffrey’s. Her job was to jazz up his social life by getting fashionable young women to show up.”
An unnamed source close to Maxwell recently spoke to Vanity Fair and had the following to say: “Ghislaine was in love with Jeffrey the way she was in love with her father. She always thought if she just did one more thing for him, to please him, he would marry her. When I asked what she thought of the underage girls, she looked at me and said, ‘They’re nothing, these girls. They are trash.’”
The controversial situation around Epstein and his death mean that she will likely be prosecuted for her actions.
Via social media, many puzzled people are wondering how this woman is allowed to be free.
One commenter wrote: “How is it possible that she wasn’t arrested along with him? Wtf? Trust me, and I pray I run into her…problem is she has no warrant for her arrest yet. She has money, and she can probably go to another country right now if she hasn’t already taken off.”
Another person had the following conspiracy theory to share online: “She looks way to calm, given the situation…Body double ready for an escape to Argentina. Her brother or sister lives there. In my opinion… I believe they got all they needed from him, received a quick and speedy sentence, and was executed. You don’t allow these type of ppl to live. You have to understand these ppl mean humanity no good at all.”
A third harsh comment towards the madame read: “I think this “appearance” is intentional and is some form of communication. One facilitator of sex trafficking for Epstein.. how much money she was paying for doing so, how many of was effect by her role such crimes..”
The Daily Mail claims that the first photo of Maxwell in three years was staged and the dog is not even hers. Her attorney and friend, Leah Saffian, reportedly played a huge role in staging the whole thing.
