Prince William and Prince Harry are said to be entering a new year where they will sadly once more clash over new revelations.
Matters might get muddied with the report that Prince Harry might be eyeing an interesting TV gig that he will use to share more secrets about the royals.
Prince Charles‘s sons, who were once inseparable, have been butting heads in the past years.
It is believed that Prince Harry’s decision to date and eventually marry Meghan Markle led to the almost non-existent relationship with Prince William.
His announcement that he and his spouse were dropping their roles as senior working members of the royal family in early January 2020 put him and his brother on different paths.
According to a royal expert, the wedge between the pair is expected to widen in 2022
Royal correspondent Peter Hunt suggested that the duo will certainly not find a resolution or take a path towards healing with Prince Harry’s memoir due out in the upcoming months.
Appearing on LBC, the commentator explained: “The rift is deep. It started in part because Harry was beginning to feel restless anyway and has really struggled with his position within the institution. It was accelerated and ignited by his marriage to Meghan and how she fitted in the family, and what she wanted out of the family, and the role she wanted didn’t necessarily align with where the family saw her.”
He continued: “I remember asking someone just before the engagement was announced, and I was talking to this person who’d seen her coming in, and I said, ‘does she know what she’s marrying into?’ And they said yes, and I said, ‘but does she know-know?’ and they paused and sort of shook their head.”
He said that he does not believe the pair will be able to work on their strained relationship.
Hunt went on to say that the “woke” California resident and the heir to the British throne are now set on a collision course because of Prince Harry’s upcoming bombshell memoir that will stain the Monarchy.
The royal correspondent added: “It was just an inevitable collision when you look at it now. So her coming in and wanting a role the institution wasn’t prepared to give her, I think, further created the problem in that relationship. Can it be resolved? I really struggle to see a resolution, not least because, in 2022, Harry will bring out his book.”
The Duke of Sussex‘s autobiography is set to be released as Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her Platinum Jubilee.
Royal pundits say it will remove the spotlight from the Queen.
The relationship between Meghan Markle’s husband and his brother will further be exasperated with the report that Prince Harry will pull the daring and present stunt on hosting a nightly show for one night.
Prince Harry is rumored to be taking over James Corden on The Late Late Show to promote his book.
If the chatter is true, Prince Harry will be the first member of the royal family to land such a gig.
Prince Harry, who is not afraid to air the royal family’s dirty laundry, is expected to spill the dirty tea while on hosting duty.
According to one royal commentator Neil Sean, Prince Harry’s appearance “would be a great way to sell that book” to US fans because he has been on the show before, and he got a lot of attention and created a huge amount of media buzz.
Sean shared: “One of the ideas that they’re floating around over at CBS is the fact that Prince Harry, for one night only, could simply take over The Late Late Show which is hosted by James Corden. When you think about it does make perfect sense simply because they’re good chums and, of course, it would be a great way for Prince Harry to sell that book directly to the American public.”
