Sarah Ransome, one of the women who have come forward with allegations against Jeffrey Epstein — who took his own life in the aftermath of the scandal — has made the shocking claim that she had even tried swimming through waters that she knew were infested with sharks, all because she wanted to get away from the alleged abuser on Little St. James.
Ransome was one of the women who had been brought to the millionaire’s private island nicknamed “Pedophile Island,” where he carried out many of his alleged crimes.
The woman claims that she was the victim of rape multiple times during the day, and in the end, decided it would be better to be eaten by a shark instead of having to deal with her horrific situation any longer.
Ransome stated that it was not even a matter of thinking about the decision at that point — it came to her as an instinct.
In an interview with the Telegraph, the alleged victim explained: “And from the time I got onto the island, that was when the abuse began. There were some days I was raped three times a day. And then he would rape others. I had to be ready for his friends, whom he lent us out to.”
She went on to reveal: “I had been raped three times that day. A shark would have been my best friend at that point. I didn’t even think about it — it was just, get me away.”
In the same interview, the South Africa-born woman explained how she met the disgraced financier and how his alleged madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, contributed to her enslavement.
Ransome stated that she arrived in New York at the age of 22 in September 2006, and she was “young and naïve,” and she was approached by Maxwell, who trapped her.
She told the British publication: “I had no idea of the hornet’s nest I had walked into.”
According to Ransome, Maxwell told her that Epstein was “this amazing guy” who “helped me achieve my dreams.” She went on to reveal that “he was so charming, charismatic,” but the fairytale became a horror film as soon as she traveled to his island where she was turned into a sex slave.
Various people have made many shocking claims in the wake of the Epstein scandal, and it is possible that the public is going to see even more alarming discoveries. In the meantime, some have been divided over the situation.
While most people seem to believe that Epstein was indeed fully guilty, others have been more suspicious of his death.
Various conspiracy theories have even started to roam around, and it is not known at all what the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s suicide was really like at this point.
It does not help that authorities have been relatively quiet on that front as well.
