January Jones is openly flirting with Kawhi Leonard despite the fact that he has two children with his longtime-girlfriend, Kishele Shipley, a woman the NBA star has been with since 2014.
The Mad Men star shared two Instagram stories Thursday after the Los Angeles Clippers dominated the Dallas Mavericks in a 126-111 win. In the first story, the NBA champion is dripping in sweat, and Jones’s caption of the photo reads, “future boyfriend ?? @LAClippers.”
The 42-year-old mother of one did not stop there. She shared a second story, inviting the 29-year-old athlete to reach out with this caption, “(telephone emoji) me Kawhi.”
The Clippers are playing well, and experts say they could go very far this season. The actress will have more time to continue rooting for the famous player and admiring his skills and features.
Jones, to her credit, has always been a huge basketball fan. In 2010, she was even involved in a car crash after watching a game with food expert Bobby Flay and some friends in a hotel room.
The reactions to Jones’s flirting have been all over the place. While some say that as a modern woman, she should be able to take charge of her dating life, others blasted her for being disrespectful towards Shipley.
Those critics suggest that what she did was embarrassing. However, some sports fans saw her gutsy move as a win for the baller because Jones has always been considered as one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood.
Jones’s backers argue that a little flirting and public thirst have never hurt anyone. They also say that it is totally possible that she was just joking, (with a little side of truth), or she did not know that Kawhi was in a committed relationship.
The reality is probably somewhere in the middle between pro and anti-Jones forces. She has always been open about certain things, although she is notoriously private, especially when it comes to the identity of the father of her son, Xander Dane Jones, 8.
Director Matthew Vaughn, who is married to supermodel Claudia Schiffer, and critically-acclaimed actor Michael Fassbender were mentioned as possible dads when the pregnancy news first broke 2011. To this day, the search is still on.
In January, the actress even joked about the issue: “My son? Yes. Bradley Cooper-type! Hey, you don’t know, he may be Bradley’s!” When it comes to her dating her life, she recently said that she went on a few dates with a reality TV talent, Bachelor star Nick Viall.
She explained: “It was good. All I did was grill him about the show. We went on a couple of dates.”
It seems that the lockdown linked to the coronavirus pandemic and the unrest around the country over inequality and police brutally have awakened powerful emotions in January, she might be looking for love.
