The newly-released book about Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, is still making waves and creating drama for the royal family.
The authors of Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family revealed that one of the sweetest pictures taken by Prince Charles and his family was not all that it seemed.
According to the book, it was a hellish experience for some of the people involved in the portrait.
In 2018, Prince Harry and his older brother, Prince William, were summoned by their father, Prince Charles.
Charles, who was celebrating his 70th birthday, wanted a portrait that featured his entire family, including his daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
The official photos could have fooled anyone, for they showed the perfect family.
They included the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex smiling, Charles bonding with his grandson, and Prince William and Catherine Middleton being loving parents.
According to the bombshell biography, it was a nightmare to get the royals together for the official photos because they were already at war.
The book claims that Harry and William were not only at odds with each other, but they were also feuding with their father at the time.
According to the book, “Prince of Wales’s photos with his family was an absolute nightmare” to plan because “his sons blew hot and cold with their father.”
The royal insider went on to say: “It was difficult to arrange as neither William nor Harry made much of an effort to make themselves available.”
The authors also explained that Charles and Harry’s relationship was “complicated.”
However, when Charles contracted Covid-19, Harry immediately telephoned his father to find out how he was.
The book states: “The doctors described the Prince of Wales as in ‘good spirits’ and his symptoms as mild, it was still enough to fill Harry with worry.”
Moreover, Harry has been making amends with his father after he contracted the coronavirus. Many were surprised by the story behind the photo, and they lashed out at the power couple for their behavior.
A royal fan stated: “Did they ever give details about the nightmare? The only two people in that group who would talk about it are in that photo…”
This person mocked the duchess by saying: “I think this is just a beautiful photo. It must have been awful-poor MM had to take a back seat to her father-in-law, the future king! ?”
A social media user made this interesting observation: “Wow, this is really not helping their image at all!.. Is this book about talking trash about everyone around them?”
