It seems that Angelina Jolie is a real mama bear who is willing to stir the pot and make her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, a bit frustrated to protect her children.
A source close to the Maleficent actress recently spoke to Us Weekly, and revealed that after Brad returned from his romantic French vacation with rumored girlfriend Nicole Poturalski, he was asked to go in quarantine for fourteen days.
According to the insider, Brad was not allowed to see his children when he arrived in his California home.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star had plans to take two coronavirus tests “days apart” in order to “shorten the quarantine period,” but Angelina put her foot down.
Instead, the 46-year-old mother of six demanded that the stayed home for at least two weeks to protect the kids.
The source told the publication: “Angelina insisted Brad quarantine for 14 days after he returned from France, citing a rise in COVID-19 cases in the country. She didn’t want to chance the kids getting it.”
Brad, 56, eventually agreed and was allowed to see the children after the quarantine. People in the know say that Angelina’s behavior was unsettling because she is still trying to control her ex.
Other voices are more supportive of the humanitarian as they blame Brad for making a bad situation worse by taking his lady friend to the location where they got married.
The Hollywood icons are still fighting in court and the divorce is not close to getting finalized four years after announcing their separation. A custody trial is set to begin in October, and things could get ugly fast.
Brad and Angelina share Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12. At 19, Maddox can do whatever he pleases when it comes to his parents.
A second source explained how things got where they are and revealed: “Taking Nicole to Miraval on their former wedding anniversary, Brad knows exactly what he is doing and the reaction it’s going to get from Angelina. He just doesn’t care if Angelina is going to lash out. He expects she will.”
Another insider told The Mirror: “It grosses her out that he’s cavorting around Europe so publicly with this girl, instead of keeping a private and dignified lid on his love life. The fact he’s apparently taken them to her marital home is just beyond tacky and inappropriate, however, Brad wants to cut it.”
It is unclear if the two sides intend to keep escalating the conflict. People close to the two famous actors remain hopeful that a compromise will be reached at some point in the near future.
