Model Shares Photos Of ‘Obscene And Offensive’ Outfit That Southwest Airlines Would Not Allow On Their Flight

Southwest Airlines Kayla Eubanks Model Top

Kayla Eubanks, a model from Chicago, has gone viral after sharing several photos and videos showing that she was not allowed to board a flight on Southwest Airlines because of her outfit that was deemed offensive and inappropriate.

Eubanks unintentionally created drama with her attire composed of a black halter top that revealed her cleavage and a long red skirt.

The 22-year-old completed the look with a pair of sneakers and several pieces of jewelry. The travel blogger chronicled her displeasing experience with Southwest Airlines via Twitter.

The Instagram influencer explained in one video that staff members told her that she was not allowed on the plane because her fashion choice was “lewd, obscene, and offensive.”

She was told to cover up, and when she asked why were they policing her body and what the policies were against her attire, she could not get a clear answer.

The furious female passenger, who has gone viral on Facebook and Reddit, revealed: “Y’all I was KICKED OFF my @SouthwestAir flight because my boobs are ‘lewd, obscene and offensive.’ I was told that passengers may look at me in my attire and be offended.”

Eubanks shared a picture of her outfit with the following caption: “I really wanna know why @SouthwestAir is policing my clothes like this. How will my shirt impact my flight, for myself, the other passengers, or even the pilot? Y’all have a dress code for CUSTOMERS who pay to get on a plane? It’s the constant policing of women’s bodies for me.”

She was held at the gate for almost half of an hour, the flight was delayed, but they were not able to find the policy that fit her unique situation.

In one video, the female agent, who was working overtime not to let Eubanks on the plane, said: “The flight is closing in three minutes, and you don’t want to put something on?”

Eubanks again asked for the policy that stipulates she was dressed inappropriately.

The agent responded by: “I can’t find it.” The model replied: “You’re not letting me on the plane because of a policy you can’t prove exists?”

The captain of the flight eventually stepped in and offered Eubanks a T-shirt to cover up. He also asked her: “They’re hating on you because you’re looking good, is that it?”

A Southwest Airlines spokesperson said in a statement that they have apologized to Eubanks and provided her with a refund.

The company claimed: “Our employees are responsible for the safety and comfort of everyone on board the flight. We do our best to promote a family-centric environment, and we count on our customers to use good judgment and exercise discretion while traveling.”

Southwest added: “The customer traveled on her scheduled itinerary, and we also reached out to her directly to apologize for her experience and provided a refund of her fare as a gesture of goodwill.”

A lot of people blamed sexism for what happened.
