King Charles III has decided to end his silent war against Donald Trump.
His Majesty is not a Sovereign who keeps quiet and calmly waits for the political scandals and dramas to die down; he is a man of action.
Later this month, King Charles will bluntly and directly respond to the American president, who has relentlessly attempted to annex Canada against the nation’s and the government’s will.
Since taking office, Trump and members of his administration have repeated their goal to make the neighboring country the 51st state of the US.
Trump insisted Canada would be better off if it merged with the union. The former and current prime ministers Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney are vehemently against it.
President Trump has been repeating those claims while forgetting that Canada is independent and King Charles is currently head of state.
On May 27, King Charles plans to publicly remind Donald Trump and his mouthpieces that Canada is not for sale.
King Charles, 76, will deliberately travel to Canada for a historic speech despite his draining health struggles.
His Majesty will inaugurate a new session of parliament in Ottawa and deliver the traditional ‘speech from the throne — a momentous occasion, marking the first time a British monarch has done so in nearly 50 years.
King Charles plans to make a point of telling Trump to back off. Artur Wilczynski, a former Canadian ambassador, explained the significance of King Charles’s statement against Donald Trump via The Mail: “I would like to hear the King read a speech that says Canada is and will continue to be a strong, vibrant, and independent nation and that Canada is not for sale at any price. And I’d like him to say that as our sovereign and head of the Commonwealth, I will continue to support and defend the will of the Canadian people to pursue your national aspirations. Vive le Canada.”
Elizabeth May, the UK’s Green Party leader, believes that King Charles has bravely elevated Canada to the status of an essential member of the Commonwealth.
The Canadian politician added: “I understand and respect the limits of what a monarch can say at any time. But in visiting Canada now, any Canadian would welcome the smallest reference to “God Save Canada,” that Canada is a valued member of the Commonwealth family of nations.”
Trump is also busy with other issues for now, so Canada might be on the back-burner for a while.
