Model and new mother Gigi Hadid has returned to social media with a meaningful picture and an even more powerful message.
Hadid, who welcomed a baby girl in September with boyfriend Zayn Malik, posed for a cute mirror selfie to show off her post-baby body.
Hadid flaunted her tiny waist in a black Vote T-shirt tightly tucked into a pair of bright yellow pants. She had her long honey hair cascading on one side.
In her caption, she urged her millions of American followers to make sure that their voice is heard by voting in the 2020 presidential election.
The stunning model was not only spreading an important message, but she also did her homework and provided potential voters with a map that included information on when early voting takes place per state.
The supermodel also made the sweet revelation that her newborn baby went to the voting booth with her.
She wrote: “I voted absentee last week with my daughter next to me, for an America I want her to see; but not just for us- for fellow Americans that are less privileged, with hope for a nation that is unified, that is empathetic, & for a leader that is compassionate.”
She continued: “YOU HAVE A WEEK AND A HALF IF YOU’RE VOTING EARLY IM PROUD OF YOU. IF YOU MAILED IN YOUR ABSENTEE BALLOT I’M PROUD OF YOU. (&& if you dropped it off at your County’s Board of Elections Office or at an Early Polling Site, I’m proud of you!!) IF YOU’RE GOING TO THE POLLS ON NOVEMBER 3RD, I’M PROUD OF YOU.”
The new mom concluded by: “Whatever your PLAN, I’m proud of you; make sure you have one !!! Let me know below.”
On September 23, Hadid and Malik, 27, announced to their large following that they had welcomed a baby girl into the world.
The beaming father wrote back then: “Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful to try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.”
Fans are eager to find out the name of the baby girl and see the first photo of her face. The presidential campaign has pushed many celebrities to come off the sidelines and take a stand.
In about a week, the world will know if they made a difference.
