Meghan Markle is reportedly feeling “sick to her stomach” as she awaits the release of half-sister Samantha Markle‘s new book, due to be published next month.
The memoir, titled The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1, claims to expose hidden truths about the Markle family — who have been under media scrutiny for several years.
Now, a source has said that the Duchess of Sussex “will not act bothered in public” by the book, but behind closed doors, she is upset and feeling sick about the new publication.
Samantha, 56, announced in 2016 that she would be writing the book, which coincided with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s relationship going public.
Barnes & Noble, a U.S. bookseller and publisher, will be releasing the memoir in America. It is expected to contain 330 pages about the Markle family and the Duchess of Sussex.
“Things are not always as they seem;” the book’s description reads. “Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction,” it warns.
Talking to The Sun, Samantha Markle, who has been cashing in since her sister became a member of the royal family, explained the following about the book: “I don’t know if she will be comfortable with it. Some things she will and some things she won’t. It’s fair and balanced. Naturally, some things she will like and some things she won’t. Truth is stranger than fiction, and I have predicated myself on the truth.”
Meghan and Samantha Markle are thought to have seen each other last in 2008, with a source previously saying they had only seen each other a couple of times since being children.
Last year, Meghan Markle reportedly cried after hearing that Samantha would be publishing the book and felt her older sister was taking advantage of her.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from the British royal family last January and now live in Santa Barbara, California, with their 18-month-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Samantha Markle has previously labeled her sister “the duchess of nonsense,” and during interviews, has described her as “shallow” and “inhumane.”
She has accused the Duchess of Sussex of being cold, saying she “doesn’t have a heart,” although Meghan Markle’s friends reject these claims against her character.
The second part of Samantha Markle’s memoir, due to be titled In the Shadows of the Duchess, is expected to be released over the coming year.
Many are baffled by the bombshell book’s content because Meghan and her “estranged” sibling have not spoken in more than a decade.
