Jennifer Lopez has been creating beach envy for many of her fans as she shared pictures this week sunning herself on sandy beaches.
On Wednesday, 51-year-old Lopez — who goes by the nickname J-Lo — posted a photo to Instagram showing off her famous figure in a burgundy bikini.
The image was taken from the ground and was strategically angled to show off all her curves as Lopez stands to the side with most of her back visible to the camera.
The short caption to the image read, “Beach bum,” and used the hashtag “#GodsLight,” accompanied by a beach emoji and a sunshine emoji.
It was taken by artist and photographer Ana Carballosa, who was also the official photographer of world tours and Vegas shows by Lopez in 2012 and 2016.
Jennifer Lopez also modeled a Christian Dior hat and a pair of large sunglasses as she posed against a backdrop of blue sky, calm ocean waves, and a few soft clouds.
Many fans praised the movie star, while others said that the photos were inappropriate because of the pandemic that left many without jobs and the political unrest that recently took place.
A critic replied: “Ummm, maybe read the room and don’t post this right now? ???.” This person had the following to say: “It shouldn’t have anything to do with Americans…people are locked in their homes all over the world, losing their jobs, and she’s showing off her privileged life on a tropical island.”
This woman dropped this comment: “A very tone-deaf post on her part.”
On Monday, J-Lo posted a “Monday Motivation” post on Instagram to her 137 million followers, where she showed a video of herself on a windy beach in Florida wearing a red bikini set, a large pair of gold hoop earrings, and a Versace robe with her own nickname, “J-LO,” printed on the back in shimmering silver.
The following day, she encouraged her followers to use SPF 30 when out in the sun and took the opportunity to promote her own brand JLO BEAUTY.
On New Year’s Eve, Jennifer Lopez performed on the virtual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, alongside fellow singers, including Miley Cyrus and Lewis Capaldi.
Lopez had told fans before the program that she intended to bring “good energy” as she performed on the show to ring in the New Year.
Lopez is a real inspiration for many followers.
