Until the publication of Spare, Kate Middleton was playing nice with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the media.
There have been hundreds of articles published with reliable royal sources claiming that Prince William’s wife wanted to broker peace.
Catherine, Princess of Wales‘s goal was to reach out to the Montecito royals, and gradually open the communications lines between Prince William and his younger brother.
At one point, it was revealed that Middleton had made multiple phone calls to talk to Prince Harry about improving the situation.
However, it is now claimed that Middleton had a change of heart when it came to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s complex dossier.
The future Queen has taken her distance from the case.
A royal source, who spoke to Us Weekly, stated: “Kate has no desire to communicate with Harry or Meghan. There has been too much that has happened and she’s not ready yet.”
The royal insider went on to say that Prince William, however, would like to eventually make amends but will need some time to get to that point after the nasty revelations and wild accusations.
The person in the know shared: “William wants his relationship with his brother to improve, but they’re not speaking right now. So when that will happen is still uncertain.”
While one expert painted a doomsday scenario, another claimed that having Kate Middleton in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s dossier might have a surprising outcome.
According to the royal author, Rebecca English, once a peacemaker, always a peacemaker.
In a piece in the Daily Mail, she explained that all hope lies within Kate Middleton’s goodwill, compassion, and instinct.
She wrote in the Daily Mail: “It was the Princess of Wales who very publicly engineered the first conversation between estranged brothers William and Harry after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in 2021, an act of instinctive thoughtfulness and compassion. ‘Exactly,’ says my source. “If the King and Harry are ever to be reconciled, let alone the two brothers, it will be by the guiding hand of the female members of the family. And let us not forget that this is not just a question of ensuring that everyone gets along at Christmas. It’s about the smooth running of global institutions. There’s real pressure on them here.”
Sources have claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle believe that time is a healer and are now open to a reconciliation with the royals.
