Many assumed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would suffer financially and be shunned from the royal family — after they decided to no longer be working royals.
For a brief moment, it had appeared that the power couple picked the worst time to step down from their roles as royals — for a novel and deadly pandemic struck the world and shut down the world’s economy.
Yet, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have thrived amid the coronavirus pandemic by signing one multimillion-dollar deal after another.
They have secured massive deals with Netflix and Spotify. The Sussexes have made a fortune with paid speeches, and there are rumors that they are getting ready to write books soon.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have managed to make some high-profile friends along the way. Oprah Winfrey has been pushing their products, and they spent Christmas with David Foster.
According to many royal experts, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s rise has taken the spotlight from Kate Middleton and Prince William.
A royal expert has revealed that the power couple fame and their billion-dollar empire will take away from Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and the other royal family members.
During an appearance on True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, royal biographer Duncan Larcombe revealed that he fears that the public will be more interested in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s fascinating billionaire lifestyle than the Cambridges’ royal duties.
Larcombe stated: “A year ago, they [Harry and Meghan] were saying they want privacy and to bring their child up in peace – Codswallop! We now know what it is. The evidence is there. It was the biggest Royal sellout in the history of the family. What Harry and Meghan have done over the past 12 months is sow seeds which will spell potential catastrophe to the Royal Family.”
Larcombe went on to reveal: “When 50 million people are watching Harry’s chat about organic yogurt or whatever it is that he wants to promote, and 5,000 people are watching his brother – Prince William, the future King – do a royal engagement, opening a supermarket in Hemel Hempstead or whatever – that is when it becomes a problem.”
The royal insider continued: “Because there is money involved, it isn’t a charitable thing. What a surprise [that] more family silver is out for sale – let’s use Archie as clickbait. Maybe Harry is going to be the ‘Billion heir royal'”.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl chimed in: “Meghan and Harry have the potential to become a billion-dollar brand. My understanding from the Sussexes camp is that there has been communication with the Queen, Prince Charles, and William. The general feeling is that this [current situation] is working. This isn’t to say that people are not watching closely what these deals are, what the couple are doing, and what these projects are going to be. But there is not this need to have this review one year on.”
Some say only time will tell if this prediction is accurate.
