Demi Lovato gave a jaw-dropping glimpse of her nipple piercing this week in new photos she posted wearing the same sheer outfit she had on for her interview with TV show host Ellen DeGeneres.
The 28-year-old pop star wore a sheer black tank top, which revealed the nipple jewelry for the first time.
It was one of the first things her following of almost 100 million on Instagram noticed, and quickly began to make comments about the new discovery.
Lovato’s outfit also consisted of a green and purple patterned blazer with matching pants and hoop earrings to accessorize.
Her hair had been dyed bright pink and was cut short — a look which seemed coordinated with her eye-catching outfit.
Lovato’s post gathered more than two million likes within days, and she followed up with three more photos where she posed against a pink background.
She tagged photographer Angelo Kritikos and captioned the photos saying “let’s never stop…creating.”
Many backers took to social media to lust over the piercing. One fan had this cheeky remark: “I think the last photo is your official pose!!! ???? I’m lusting respectfully.”
This follower made this remark in the comment section: “I felt a religious experience when I saw the nip piercing.”
Demi Lovato was praised by this follower who revealed: “AAAAAAA THE PIERCING LOOKS SICK. Babyyyyyy, you SNAPPED on them!! ???.”
She joins celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Rihanna, who have all been seen wearing nipple piercings.
Speaking on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Demi Lovato revealed that she feels “free” after cutting her hair shorter.
She confessed: “I feel more authentic to who I am, and I also feel like I used to hide behind my hair. I’ve talked a lot about my past, being in recovery from an eating disorder, and I used to use my hair to hide behind.”
She went on to explain: “It would cover my body. When I started doing all this work on myself, I thought, ‘What is something that I have been holding onto my whole life that I need to let go of?’ It was that.”
Last year, Lovato was engaged to actor Max Ehrich — although their engagement lasted just four months before they broke up in September.
It followed her high-profile overdose in 2018, which she linked to her experience suffering from bulimia, a common eating disorder.
A new documentary about Demi Lovato is due to air on March 23, titled Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil.
