Kanye West recently found himself in a bit of trouble after he made a series of insensitive posts and used racial slurs on Instagram.
Mr. West went after Kim Kardashian and a few big-name comedians, including Pete Davidson and Trevor Noah.
According to sources close to Kardashian, she reacted to the announcement by cracking up a joke about West’s overactive behavior on the platform.
The billionaire rapper and businessman went too far with his words, and Instagram’s parent company Meta took drastic actions.
Despite having one of the most actives pages on Instagram and more than 15 million followers, Meta decided to suspend Kanye West for violating the rules.
In a statement released to the media, Meta confirmed that West was bullying several people.
A spokesperson told CNN that West violated the “platform’s policies on hate speech, bullying and harassment.”
The MC was restricted from posting, commenting, and sending private messages for 24 hours.
The company made it clear to West that they would take further action if necessary if he continues to harass other people with his content.
A reliable source spoke to PEOPLE Magazine and explained that Kim Kardashian did react to the news of her estranged’s husband’s punishment.
The person familiar with the situation said that the billionaire TV personality, who has unfollowed West on Instagram along with all her sisters, found the punishment fair.
The Kardashian insider said that she also shared a little joke about the situation by saying that she needed a break from all the online drama created by West.
The source revealed: “Kim found the suspension to be fair, but her reaction wasn’t very dramatic. She didn’t make a big deal out of it and joked that she needed a break for a day. All of Kanye’s posts have been exhausting for her, though.”
The same insider went on to explain that Kardashian is unbothered by the chaos that West has been creating online.
The family friend added: “It’s very impressive how calm and collected she is able to stay. She is very happy with [boyfriend] Pete [Davidson]. Her kids are doing great. She is trying her best to stay positive and focus on all the amazing things in her life.”
Now that the suspension has been lifted, Kanye West has returned to his Instagram page, where he took some surprising measures.
The artist has not posted but has decided to delete all the pictures and messages on his page.
The hip-hop legend was also banned from performing at the Grammys for the same reasons.
