A rock star is born! Prince Harry stole the spotlight at last night’s mega star-studded Vax Live event in Los Angeles.
However, after having his name in the bright lights, the Duke of Sussex‘s family members, including Prince Charles and Prince William, made him come down to reality with some devastating news about his future and place in the British monarchy.
Prince Harry, who left his pregnant wife, Meghan Markle, at home, received a loud and lengthy standing ovation at the concert put together to encourage rich nations to share COVID-19 vaccines with poor countries.
After receiving his rock-star reception, Prince Harry, 36, casually dressed, walked in to deliver a five-minute speech.
The royal told the audience: “We must look beyond ourselves with empathy and compassion for those we know, and those we don’t. We need to lift up all of humanity and make sure that no person or community is left behind.”
Hours after Prince Harry made headlines and his speech video went viral, a story was published claiming that the heirs to the British throne — Prince Charles and Prince William — view him and his wife as a “distraction for the family.”
According to royal expert Russell Myers, the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge are focused on getting back to handling the business of the British people.
The expert stated that while Prince William will occasionally appear on Zoom for charity events, he has no plans to be a showman like Prince Harry.
Myers said: “They want to draw a line under Harry and Meghan, who have been a distraction for the family. The rest of the Royal Family are very, very united in trying to get back to business. We have hardly seen them. They have popped up on Zoom calls here and there.”
He continued: “But no one has done the real business of monarchy, which is getting out, being among the people and shining a light on different charities, and traveling the world and the Commonwealth.”
The commentator also explained that Prince Harry and his spouse will not be helped by the royal family because of the controversial Oprah Winfrey interview and stated: “It’s part of getting Britain back on its feet. As far as Harry and Meghan are concerned, I think they will be left to try and sort things out on their own. It’s part of getting Britain back on its feet. As far as Harry and Meghan are concerned, I think they will be left to try and sort things out on their own.”
Myers then shared: “There will be quite a lot of dissatisfaction in the camp and it remains to be seen whether they will ever be brought back in. I’m sure that Harry was a bit sheepish seeing the rest of his family at Prince Philip’s funeral.”
He concluded by: “It was the first time he has spoken to many of them since that Oprah Winfrey interview where he accused them of all manner of things. He went back to America with his tail between his legs, and who knows what will happen in the future.”
Fans of the royal family hoping for a real detente will have to wait a bit longer.
