The relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry is at an all-time low, despite the best efforts of friends and other relatives.
While Harry is open to putting the drama behind, he still has trouble forgetting some of the incidents that led them to this unsettling place.
William reportedly does not have a high opinion of the former American actress Meghan Markle. According to royal expert Robert Lacey, the author behind Battle Of Brothers, Kate Middleton‘s husband once called his sister-in-law, Meghan, “a bloody woman.”
The incident reportedly took place at the height of the staff controversy when several royal aides accused Meghan of being a bully. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have always denied the charges.
According to Lacey’s sources, here is what an angry William said about Harry’s wife: “But look at the way that bloody woman treated my staff — merciless!”
Lacey also stated that even some of Harry’s friends dislike Meghan because she is coming from Hollywood. One of them explained: “Meghan can be a 500 percent nightmare. The never-ending PR. She’s just so . . . American!”
Those stories put the conflict between the two royal siblings into a larger context where issues of race and culture are at the forefront.
A friend, who is trying to bring peace between Harry and William, told Lacey: “There they were, at each other’s throats as fiercely as ever. The rage and anger between those two has grown so incredibly deep. Too many harsh and wounding things have been said.”
The author also brought up an interesting angle in the family drama; the feud is a problem for their father, Prince Charles, because the situation is not great for his image as a future king.
Another pal revealed: “The main thing Charles wants is for the pair of them to smile on Camilla becoming his full Queen Consort [instead of Princess Consort, as officially pre-ordained at present].”
The person continued: “He’s fixated about it — something he never stops trying to negotiate with both of them. But they will never say ‘Yes’ to Camilla taking the place that should have been filled by their mother.”
Despite his fears, it does not seem that Charles is doing much to change the current landscape. Queen Elizabeth II appears to be more motivated to bring a little bit of calm to the British royal family.
The monarch is expected to meet with Harry during his trip to the UK this week.
