After three years of going back and forth, many royal observers believed that Prince Harry and King Charles III were set to finally sit down like two adults and come up with a truce or something like a peace agreement between father and son.
However, several sources spoke to the Daily Beast and Page Six and revealed that there is no meeting. It is claimed that Prince William played a pivotal role in making sure that no meeting took place.
A friend of Prince William told The Daily Beast: “Charles won’t be seeing Harry, and nor will William. No chance. He feels utterly betrayed by what Harry wrote about him in the book and said about him on Netflix.”
Another pal told The Daily Beast this about Prince William’s feelings about his younger brother: “He feels betrayed. They were very close growing up, so it has been very painful for William. But ultimately, what can he do? Just look at Spare. It’s literally William’s worst nightmare. It is a total violation of his privacy. On top of that, Harry has criticized Kate and the way he is raising his children. It’s very, very sad. I think it is completely understandable that right now William is still absolutely disgusted by what his brother has done.”
King Charles was easily convinced by the heir to cancel the sit-down because he greatly benefited from the bitter divide.
A close friend of the King spoke to The Sunday Times and explained that the public supports him in the war because they identify with him.
His Majesty appears more human in the eyes of the British people because they too have ongoing family drama.
The person, who claims to be an advisor to King Charles, revealed: “It’s all very sad, but it mirrors what happens in a lot of families, so it humanizes him. What’s clear is the side the public has come down on, and that’s reassuring to him.”
Now that King Charles has realized that he is on the winning side of this royal battle, he certainly will not make any efforts to close this chapter.
Many close sources to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have claimed that they are moving on from the drama to focus on new money-making projects and to solidify their roots in California.
