Kristin Cavallari gets honest about fake and heavily photoshopped photos on social media
Kristin Cavallari shared a series of fake photos on her Instagram Stories to remind fans that they need to be careful and not feel pressured to appear perfect because no one is.
The Colorado native and her female friends posted one photo that changed their genders and explained: “I have never laughed so hard, you guys. There’s an app, it’s called FaceApp, and it’s insane what you can make yourself look like. But you can make yourself look like a different gender, and all my friends are doing it right now, and they just sent me this one as the three of us as dudes. You guys have to do this; it’s so funny.”
She posted a picture where her appearance was changed by the app and warned her followers: “I don’t look like this. This app is crazy. Instagram is a fake, fake world. Just remember that, kids. This is why we should never compare ourselves to others on here.”
In a recent interview, she shared her thoughts about social media, saying: “I think the biggest thing when you’re having self-doubt is to not be on social media. I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t really read comments on Instagram because it’s just not good for my mental health, good or bad. Social media is really robbing us of our happiness, I think. We’re constantly comparing our worst to everybody else’s best, and that’s a really dangerous place to be.”
Supporters appreciate the fact that Cavallari brings a lot to the table.
