Former President Donald Trump is marching on with The History Show with TV personality Bill O’Reilly.
The men recently made a stop in Dallas, Texas, where he irked his most die-hard supporters with a revelation that he made.
Trump, who spent many months while he was in power making jaw-dropping statements about the novel coronavirus, revealed that he had been vaccinated.
He is also proud to have taken the jab along with the booster. Trump took the opportunity to encourage others to get the shot to protect themselves against COVID-19.
Seconds after the politician revealed that he was vaxxed, the audience lashed out with loud boos and hurled a few angry words of disappointment.
Trump, who disapproved of the verbal attack, quickly shut it down by waving his hands in protest and by saying: “Oh, don’t, don’t, don’t!”
Ignoring the criticism, the real estate mogul and former Fox News host carried on with the conversation that focused on the benefits of being vaccinated.
O’Reilly disclosed: “Both the president and I are vaxxed, and, did you get the booster?” Trump replied by: “Yes.” O’Reilly said: “I got it, too.”
As the crowd continued to make noise to show their frustration at the former reality TV star, he decided to put his spin on the matter.
Trump explained the negative reaction was coming “from a very tiny group over there.”
He went on to point out the fantastic job that his administration had done to save millions of Americans from catching and dying of the virus.
Trump stated: “We saved tens of millions worldwide by creating the vaccine. It would have been like the Spanish flu without it. … We should take credit for it, and you play right into their hands.”
Over the summer, Trump tried to push his backers to “embrace” the vaccines that his administration helped develop, and his words were received with loud boos and jeers.
The author shared back then: “And you know what? I believe totally in your freedoms. I do. You’ve got to do what you have to do. But, I recommend: take the vaccines. I did it. It’s good. Take the vaccines.”
The Biden administration was happy to capitalize on Trump’s comments. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services shared a video of Trump’s statement with the following caption: “Be like President Trump, and get your booster shot.”
In his most recent speech from the White House, President Joe Biden praised Donald Trump for getting the booster shot.
Trump previously disclosed that he was vaccinated while commander-in-chief.
After taking part in his first presidential debate against Joe Biden, Donald Trump was hospitalized as he battled COVID.
In a new book, Trump’s White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, revealed that Trump tested positive for the virus three days before going face-to-face with Biden.
Trump responded to his former staff member by saying: “The story of me having COVID prior to, or during, the first debate is Fake News. In fact, a test revealed that I did not have COVID prior to the debate.”
Many Republicans are unvaccinated and are anti-vaxxers, including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who spoke at a conservative event in Arizona where she said: “It’ll be over my dead body that I get a [Covid] shot. I will not. I won’t do it, and they better not touch my kids either.”
Some conservatives have said that they are not taking the vaccines, regardless of what Trump says.
