Queen Elizabeth Makes Her Desires Known For The End Of Her Reign, And They Are Disheartening For Prince Harry

Queen Elizabeth Prince Charles Harry Meghan Markle Camilla Statement

About one week ago, Queen Elizabeth II decided to let the world know some of her desires when she is no longer alive.

Her Majesty revealed that she wants her daughter-in-law, Camilla Parker Bowles, to be “Queen consort” when Prince Charles takes the throne.

It was a surprising move for many because Her Majesty announced that she started to reflect on what the Monarchy would be like when she passed away on a joyous occasion — the Platinum Jubilee or 70 years on the throne.

Her Majesty has requested that Prince Charles’s wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, be known as Queen Consort.

Elizabeth II made her wishes known with the following statement that read in part: “When, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes king, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me. And it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.”

Many were stunned by the news because when Prince Charles wed in 2005, he confirmed that Camilla Parker Bowles would become Princess Consort.

Royal experts weighed in on Her Majesty’s decision and claimed that it might have dire consequences for the British family.

Talking about Queen Elizabeth’s bombshell statement, Jack Royston revealed that it would tank the royals’ popularity and standings.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, the royal expert revealed: “I’ve got absolutely nothing against Camilla, and this isn’t about how she does the job. She does the job well.”

He pointed to the numerous polls that confirmed that the British people do not back Queen Elizabeth’s plan to name Bowles Queen.

The royal pundit revealed: “The point here is the public don’t want it, and the numbers are really clear. They might be less forceful in their opinion now than they were in the past, but 44 percent of people want Camilla to be Princess Consort rather than Queen Consort.”

The heir to the throne initially backed the decision out of respect for Princess Diana.

The nation does not support the idea of Bowles being named Queen because she had a tumultuous and scandalous affair with Prince Charles while he was married to Princess Diana.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated in 1992, and their divorce was finalized four years later.

In 1997, Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris, France, while being chased by the paparazzi.

When Bowles joined the royal family, she did not take Princess Diana’s former title as the Princess of Wales.

The royal commentator said that the Queen’s first decision not allowing Bowles to have the princess title was the right one because she showed respect towards the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry.

He stated: “[Diana] was suffering, and they didn’t care. And what this did, it was a sacrifice, bear in mind, the Queen has always seen service as being a sacrifice, this was a sacrifice out of respect for Diana that showed the world that the Royal family do care, and it wasn’t going to be business as usual after Diana died.”

He continued by saying that Queen Elizabeth is putting herself and the rest of the royal family under a negative light by gifting Bowles the title of Queen.

He said that the royals and the Queen will once more be accused of being “indifferent when it comes to the late Princess of Wales.”

He also told I news that the Queen is “ripping the plaster off” and taking some of the “reputational flack” by allowing her daughter-in-law to be Queen.

He also noted that Her Majesty’s statement does not tell the whole story.

He claimed that while Queen Elizabeth is pushing an image of service and loyalty, there is a huge possibility that Prince Charles is the one who put his foot down and demanded that he gets his way, even if it means angering the British people.

He concluded by: “She’s made it a story about Camilla’s acceptance by her into the Royal Family, rather than a story about Charles putting his foot down and insisting on something that public, as far as polling goes, don’t actually want.”

The many questions raised by the royal expert might explain why Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have thus far declined to publicly support the Queen’s announcement about Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, becoming Queen Consort.

Prince William, with no great fanfare, said he respects his grandmother’s decision as for Prince Harry, he made the bold and renegade choice to issue a statement about his mother’s service and legacy after the Queen’s announcement.
