In the past two years, many sources have blamed Meghan Markle for the significant changes in Prince Harry‘s life.
And most recently, a well-known photographer, who worked close to Markle and her husband, has decided to share a great deal of information about the evolution of Prince Harry after Markle entered the picture.
For the past 40 years, Arthur Edwards, a photographer, who works for The Sun, has traveled worldwide with the entire British family. He has decided to speak about his relationship and interactions with them.
He had high praises for most of them, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, and explained that Prince Harry and Markle were the sourpusses of the bunch.
Arthur Edwards appeared on the podcast I’ve Got News For You, where he confessed that Prince Harry, initially a cheerful person, became miserable overtime after starting his relationship with Markle.
He said: “Camilla would always say hello, Kate says hello, William, yeah, they’re all very friendly and so was Harry until he met Meghan, and then he became very very distant, and he became almost, well, it was miserable.”
The photographer explained that his work experience deteriorated to the point it became depressing.
According to Edwards, Markle and Prince Harry’s dislike of the media made them miserable.
He confessed: “I just find it very depressing with them. They just hated the media, and it was miserable, so I ducked out of them and sort of went with Charles to New Zealand, and you know places like that.”
However, Prince Harry was not always a gloomy character. As a matter of fact, he was the life of the party before Markle entered the royal family.
The veteran royal photographer said he enjoyed drinks with Prince Harry after a successful royal tour.
He said: “The one thing about Harry was that he was always fun. After every tour, we would go to a pub or a bar, and we’d all have a drink with Harry for about an hour, hour and a half, and then Harry would pick the bill up.”
The photojournalist went on to reveal: “And it would be good fun, it would be great banter. It’s just that since Meghan came along, he’s just been unbelievably miserable.”
The documentarian said he is baffled by Prince Harry’s new attitude towards the media.
He said that the Duke of Sussex was a “one-time pals in the press” and was “absolutely staggered” to hear the prince brand the UK press “toxic” and “bigoted” and blame it for much of the woes that led to “Megxit.”
He said that he was also shocked by the revelations that Prince Harry made during the Oprah Winfrey interview.
The photographer said he does not understand where Markle and Prince Harry’s frustration with the media comes from because “photographers were respectful and only took great pictures of him and his wife.”
He added: “There were no nasty pictures of paparazzi chasing them through the streets of London. Nothing like that at all — they had a very peaceful life, people just loved Markle, and I openly gush at how she was a great ambassador for our country” who “brought a new spirit to the royal family.”
The photographer concluded the interview by blasting Prince Harry for moving to California. He explained his frustration: “While he has been feeding his chickens and riding around Los Angeles in an open-top bus, [his father, Prince Charles] and William — the people he rubbished — have been working unbelievably hard.”
Edwards concluded with: “They just never stop during this terrible pandemic that has ripped through this country where thousands of people lost their jobs, and they’ve been non-stop trying to make people’s lives better … and then Harry just goes off like that. I was so angry with him.”
The prince has maintained in interviews that Markle changed his approach to life in a better way.
