Prince Harry is waging war and a lengthy legal battle against King Charles III‘s government because they refuse to let him pay for private security when he travels to England with his family.
The British prince decided to drag the government to court after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, lost their security privileges after they decided to step down from their royal duties.
In court and interviews, Prince Harry explained that he finds it necessary to keep fighting to protect his family because he is a target of many terrible people as a prince and a high-profile celebrity.
Some rather unfortunate events have proved that Prince Harry was right to have these concerns.
In an official statement, it has been revealed that Dutch Crown Princess Catharina-Amalia had to cut her college life and experience short due to alarming security matters.
The 18-year-old heir to the throne moved out of Huis ten Bosch royal palace in The Hague last month to an apartment in Amsterdam to begin her studies at the University of Amsterdam. She was hoping to obtain a degree in politics and economics.
However, she was forced to rapidly return home after Dutch authorities discovered that she was being targeted by criminals who had the intention of kidnapping her, hoping to obtain a large sum of money for her safe return.
Dutch media reported that there were gangs potentially planning to attack the princess. Queen Maxima, King Willem-Alexander, and their three daughters live under heightened security.
The worried mother spoke to them during a state visit to Sweden and revealed that her daughter is afraid and added: “She can hardly leave the house. The consequences are very difficult for her. There is no student life for her like others have.”
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte shared a brief statement on the incident, saying he “could not specify the details of the threats.”
He continued: “This is terrible news for her in the first place. Everyone involved is doing everything possible to make sure she is safe.”
Prince Harry, who dragged the Home Office to court over their decision not to allow him to pay for police protection, had his legal representative make a powerful statement on his behalf.
Shaheed Fatima, QC, said: “This claim is about the fact that the claimant does not feel safe when he is in the UK given the security arrangements that were applied to him in June 2021 and will continue to be applied to him if he returns.”
She also stated: “And, of course, it should go without saying that he wants to come back: to see family and friends and to continue to support the charities that are so close to his heart. Most of all, this is, and always will be, his home.”
Prince Harry and Markle have been hoping to convince King Charles to give his grandchildren the titles of prince and princess and the security they need despite the fact that they live in California.
