Cristiano Ronaldo Fan Assault Reports Video

Cristiano Ronaldo is doing a mea culpa over a bizarre and somewhat embarrassing video on the Internet.

The soccer legend has been forced to share an emotional apology after a video surfaced online where he slaps a phone from a young fan’s hand while making his way to the locker room.

The incident took place in England over the weekend, and the police are currently investigating the matter.

On Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo and his Manchester United teammates played a grueling soccer match against Everton and lost by a score of 1-0.

In the video, a visibly upset and tired Cristiano Ronaldo could be seen with his colleagues walking towards the tunnel at Goodison Park.

While it is not clear, it seems that at some point, the young fan might have bent down to take a photo of Cristiano Ronaldo or his injured leg.

Displeased by the fan’s actions, Cristiano Ronaldo smashed the phone from their hand.

The mobile phone landed on the ground, and it is claimed that it broke. The controversial video rapidly went viral, and Ronaldo faced major backlash.

He took to his official Instagram page and apologized for smashing the fan’s phone and demonstrating bad sportsmanship.

He said: “It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing. Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful and patient and set an example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game. I would like to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair play and sportsmanship.??”

Eyewitnesses, who spoke to the police, confirmed that the 37-year-old athlete had indeed knocked the phone from the child’s hand.

In a statement released to the media, the British authorities explained that they had opened an investigation on the surprising matter to find out if the famous soccer star had committed an offense.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police also revealed that they had contacted both clubs after reports of an alleged assault had taken place after the game.

The statement read: “As players were leaving the pitch at 2:30 p.m., it was reported that a boy was assaulted by one of the away team as they left the pitch. Inquiries are underway, and officers are currently working with Everton Football Club to review CCTV (video) footage and are carrying out extensive witness inquiries to establish if an offense has taken place.”

The soccer icon has faced a lot of issues this season with the club failing to meet expectations.
