After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle flew back to California after Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral, a deluge of information hit the media, courtesy of Buckingham Palace.
Several sources close to King Charles III were quick to speak to British and American media outlets to clear up some of the stories that painted The Sovereign and the Monarchy negatively.
Sources with The Palace walls explained the seating arrangements at Westminster Abbey were not a snub toward Prince Harry and Markle.
King Charles had the seats arranged by age which is why Markle and her husband ended up in the second row.
Royal insiders with ties to King Charles also cleared the rumor that he was disrespectful towards Prince Harry the night Queen Elizabeth died in Balmoral Castle, Scotland.
It was claimed that King Charles snubbed Prince Harry at Balmoral by not inviting him to the private dinner he had with the heir to the throne, Prince William.
Reports said that Prince Harry had dinner with Andrew and other members of the royal family, who rushed to say goodbye to Queen Elizabeth in Balmoral.
King Charles cleared up the chatter by saying that it never happened. The new King said that he had an open invitation for Prince Harry to have dinner with him.
On the night of the Queen’s death, Prince Harry is the one who declined to eat with him and Prince William because he was furious Meghan Markle was not allowed to travel to Scotland with him.
A source close to the King told The Sun: “Harry was so busy trying to get Meghan to Balmoral and rowing with his family that he missed the flight. Charles has an open invitation for Harry to dine with him whenever he is in the country.”
The insider went on to share more about Prince Harry’s snub and anger issues: “But Harry was so furious that he refused to eat with his father and brother. It was a massive snub. And he got out of Balmoral at the earliest opportunity to catch the first commercial flight back to London.”
It did not take long for Prince Harry to share his truth about what went down in Scotland. Via Page Six, Prince Harry was quick to dispel the reports that he snubbed his father and brother.
The person close to Prince Harry made it clear that by the time he finally boarded a flight and made it to Scotland, King Charles and Prince William were no longer at the main castle.
King Charles did not stick around to greet Prince Harry, and he left for his private residence with Prince William.
Via Page Six, the royal insider explained: “Despite rumors that Prince Harry snubbed his father’s dinner invitation when he landed in Scotland, Page Six has exclusively learned that King Charles III had already left for his private residence. When Harry arrived at Balmoral Castle on Sept. 8, Charles and Prince William had already departed for the monarch’s home on the estate.”
Prince Harry shared his truth; King Charles gave his version, and many believe that the factual truth lies somewhere in the middle.
