January Jones took on her critics with lots of humor and a stunning bikini photo. This week, the actress dropped a gorgeous Instagram picture where she is wearing a fiery red bathing suit that showed off her impressive figure.
The former Mad Men actress shared the alluring photo to make a point. The National Enquirer was getting ready to publish a story about Jones claiming that her loved ones are worried for her because she has been posting steamy photos on Instagram and she is desperate for attention.
The 42-year-old star happily struck a pose after stepping out of the shower, and she made sure that the tabloid understood that she was giving them the middle finger.
The caption for the Instagram photo read: “Had to do it. #DESPERATE”
Before setting the Internet on fire, Jones exposed the publication by leaking an email it had sent out to the people close to her.
It read in part: “To Whom It May Concern: The National Enquirer is preparing to publish a story which reports January Jones has worried friends with her series of attention-grabbing bikini pictures and social media posts. Sources claim her content smacks of a ‘desperate cry for attention’ and note how her acting work appears to have dried up before then pandemic took hold.”
She captioned her post: “S***. They’ve discovered my secret. Consider this my public apology to my “friends.”‘
Many of her famous friends stepped in the comment section to jokingly say that they were the ones who spoke to the media about her desperate attempt to stay in the headlines.
Chrissy Teigen said: “It was me. I’m worried !!!!!!!”
Dax Shepard added: “I had to tell somebody. I was genuinely concerned.”
A fan had this to say: “Hot damn, give us more of this “trouble” ?.”
In an interview with Shape that Jones did earlier this year, she revealed that she is happy with her physique and explained how she maintains her toned body.
She stated: “I feel comfortable in my skin. Public opinion doesn’t matter to me.”
Jones made this surprising revelation: “My dad was a trainer, so in my 20s and 30s, I didn’t work out because he was always pushing my sisters, my mom, and me to exercise. We would rebel and not do it. It’s not that I wasn’t active. As kids, my two sisters were runners, I played tennis, and we all swam.”
She went on to say: “But on a regular basis, I wouldn’t work out, ever. Even when I was filming X-Men, and they had trainers for all of us, I would lie and say I was exercising in my hotel room, when actually I was watching Friends and having full tea service.”
Jones has been making the best of being in lockdown during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, dropping an impressive collection of beautiful swimwear and flaunting her curves while at it.
