It was the royal snub heard worldwide when King Charles III denied former President Donald Trump an invitation to attend Queen Elizabeth II‘s state funeral.
However, it seems that Trump’s frustration with the King‘s decision was short-lived because he has decided to share his thoughts on the new reign using a positive tone.
Trump, in his surprising and magnanimous gesture, also took the opportunity to make a few revelations about Camilla Parker Bowles.
Donald Trump sat down for an interview with GB News and confirmed that he did meet the royal family on multiple occasions and spent some time with Camilla, Queen Consort.
He confessed that Camilla, Queen Consort, is an “absolutely lovely” woman, and he enjoyed her company.
Camilla, Queen Consort, will be the supportive spouse to the newly-proclaimed King. Talking about King Charles’s monarchy, Trump said it would be a great one.
The real estate mogul praised King Charles by saying he has a “great way about him.”
Trump revealed that he is well acquainted with King Charles because of his numerous trips to London when he was president.
The billionaire and former reality TV star stated: “I know him very well, quite well. And I spent a lot of time when I was over there as President with him. And with his wife (who) was absolutely lovely, by the way, and we had a good time together.”
Donald Trump went on to give King Charles an interesting piece of advice. Trump said King Charles has to tone down his tone on certain topics to avoid becoming political.
The ex-US president said that King Charles has a “strong view on things,” which he thinks will change.
Trump said: “And I, you know, so I’m a little prejudiced when I say it, but, you know, he had a strong view on things. Well, I think he’ll be different now.”
Trump went on to say that King Charles has some tough shoes to fill because Queen Elizabeth was adored and did not have any political or social agenda.
He revealed: “Probably difficult when you’re the King you want to have 100% of the people love you like the Queen did. The Queen had – everybody loved her, right? She didn’t have that kind of an agenda.”
Moving on to the late Queen Elizabeth, Trump said she was a “great woman” and added: “And yet, you know, she was a very strong woman. I got to know her too. She was a very strong woman, a great woman. I think Charles is going to do very well. I think he’s got a great way about him.”
Trump shared his thoughts on Liz Truss by saying that she would do “very well” as prime minister and praised her tax-cutting agenda.
The fact that the Republican politician, who is famous for making controversial comments, took this uplifting approach has some saying that he might receive an invitation to King Charles’s coronation that will take place in June 2023.
King Charles is planning on a slimmed-down coronation ceremony with about 2000 dignitaries at Westminster Abbey.
The King will be surrounded by the Royal Family, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
