Prince Harry, his wife, Meghan Markle, and their young son, Archie, moved away from England.
Markle and Prince Harry quit all official royal duties and decided to establish themselves in sunny California.
According to royal expert and famed author Duncan Larcombe, Prince Harry took the decision to build his “own castle” and invest in his kingdom away from the British royal family.
As he said in multiple interviews, Prince Harry had one main goal after landing on the West Coast, to become a normal father, husband, and man.
Prince Harry assumed that he would find happiness and be fulfilled without the pressure of being tied down to the Monarchy.
He was freed from all archaic rules, protocols, and backward traditions. However, is he truly liberated? Has he found the joy he was seeking?
According to Duncan Larcombe, Prince Harry does not exude happiness.
Larcombe revealed to Fox News that Prince Harry appears to have all a person could want, “including love, children, success, and a palace of his own,” away from Queen Elizabeth II and now King Charles III and heir to the throne Prince William. Still, it is a very different story when the surface is scratched.
He shared: “He looks like he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Harry looks desperately unhappy.”
He continued: “I’ve watched him closely since he was a teenager for my work, and I feel that if Harry is as happy as he is telling us, as he and Meghan tell us they are, he needs to quickly tell his face.”
He concluded by saying that for years Prince Harry said his long life dream was to be normal. And “Megxit” has provided him with what he would consider normalcy, only to discover that it is not what he hoped for.
He stated: “Children dream of one day being a prince. Harry, his whole life, has dreamed of one day being normal. And I honestly don’t think, and I’m not alone in thinking that, Harry simply has not found that dream.”
Prince Harry sat down with Oprah Winfrey for The Me You Can’t See series that focused on mental health, where he revealed: “I always wanted to be normal, as opposed to being Prince Harry, just being Harry. The happiest times in my life was the ten years in the army — without question. Because I got to wear the same uniform as everybody else. I had to do all the same training as everybody else. I started from the bottom like everybody else.”
Some royal observers point to the simple fact that Prince Harry, with or without ties to King Charles, will never be normal.
He is one of the most famous men on this planet, who lived in castles and mansions all his life.
He travels via private planes and will forever be the son of the King of England and the grandchild of one of the most loved and admired women who has ever lived.
Even if Prince Harry ditched all links to the monarchy, he would not be viewed as a normal man.
Without the titles, he would go from being a prince to a megastar.
