As the fascinating Republican debate was taking place, former President Donald Trump dropped a major announcement that will certainly rattle the political world.

The former president stole the spotlight from the seven politicians who were on stage during the second GOP presidential primary debate Wednesday night at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.

The billionaire business mogul skipped the FOX Business Network and UNIVISION event and instead held a fiery campaign event at a non-union auto parts manufacturing company in Michigan.

Donald Trump delivered a headline-making speech at the event. He stated that he does not intend to take any of the seven Republicans who were debating as a running mate.

Donald Trump said: “It’s all over television, this speech. You know, we’re competing with the job candidates? They’re all running for a job. No, they’re all job candidates. They want to be in the…they’ll do anything. Secretary of something, they even say VP.”

He went on to make it clear that he is not impressed by the 2024 presidential hopefuls. He said: “I don’t know, does anybody see any VP in the group? I don’t think so.”

Trump’s statement implies that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will not be his VP.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, North Dakota Gov Doug Burgum, and former Vice President Mike Pence are no longer on the vice president shortlist.

Donald Trump was ripped to shreds during the debate by Chris Christie and Ron DeSantis. Christie slammed Trump for not having the courage to defend his policies, actions, and controversial statements.

He said: “Donald Trump should be here to answer to that, but he’s not. Donald, I know you’re watching. … You’re not here tonight — not because of polls and not because of your indictments — you’re not here because you’re afraid of being on this stage and defending your record.”

He added: “You’re ducking these things. And let me tell you what’s going to happen. [If] you keep doing that, no one up here is going to call you Donald Trump anymore, we’re going to call you Donald Duck.”

DeSantis attacked Trump by saying: “Donald Trump is missing in action. He should be on this stage tonight. He owes it to you to defend his record where they added $7.8 trillion to the debt that set the stage for the inflation that we have.”

Trump is already turning his attention to President Joe Biden and the general election.
