The efforts to repair the bitter rift between King Charles III and Prince Harry come from only one side.
Prince Harry opened the month of April with a bang, and the British prince made a surprise appearance at a four-day hearing at London’s High Court.
Prince Harry and a group of high-profile celebrities, including Sir Elton John and model Elizabeth Hurley, were in court to fight against the Daily Mail for violating their privacy and illegally gathering private information to make millions with scandalous headlines.
During his stay in London, Meghan Markle‘s husband made another unexpected move — he tried to see his father.
It has been confirmed that Prince Harry reached out to King Charles to talk and try to cool down the temperature after his explosive best-selling book Spare.
Prince Harry caused irreparable damage to King Charles, Prince William, and the British monarchy with the memoir.
Prince Harry wanted to use his trip to England to make amends or even apologize to King Charles to make peace.
However, King Charles made it clear that the ship had sailed and there was no coming back home for Prince Harry.
Despite having an empty agenda because of a canceled trip to France, His Majesty shut the door on Prince Harry’s outreach.
Royal expert Alexander Larman shared: “Apparently, [Harry] tried to see King Charles, but King Charles said he was too busy. He can’t come back. I mean the fact that, while we’re speaking, he’s in Britain, at the High Court, but none of his family is seeing him, and that’s quite telling.”
The Telegraph reported that King Charles declined to give the reason he was unable to see his talkative son.
However, one royal expert hinted that King Charles is fed up with the drama and is eager to close the chapter.
Speaking to Fox News, Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast, said: “The king’s diary is typically built months in advance. But the idea that the king had this time off and chose not to engage with his son tells me that Charles does not trust his boy.”
She added: “He does not want any drama before the coronation, and he clearly thinks Harry’s grievances are petty. If Harry and Meghan attend the king’s coronation, they should bring their parkas because things are going to be ice cold. Charles’ unwillingness to make out time for his son “was a stark example of consequence.”
The Duke of Sussex‘s attempt at his mea culpa with his father and the Royal Family pushed him to stay at Frogmore Cottage.
King Charles recently evicted Prince Harry from the cottage.
