There were a few major surprises at King Charles III‘s coronation ceremony.
Many were confused that Prince William and Kate Middleton briefly took the spotlight from King Charles and Queen Camilla by arriving late at Westminster Abbey.
It was later claimed that the hold-up had to be blamed on their three children. Another mystifying moment occurred when Prince Andrew walked the church wearing the robe and cap of The Order of the Garter like the rest of the Royal Family.
Prince Andrew has become persona non grata since his ties to the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal were exposed.
He brought tremendous shame to the Royal Family with an interview where he attempted to claim his innocence and failed.
The matter was resolved out of court because the Queen did not want an embarrassing circus surrounding the trial.
Since then, Prince Andrew has been banned from wearing any military uniforms and is not supposed to participate in royal functions.
So, why was he dressed in a robe and cap of The Order of the Garter, like the other working royals, such as Kate Middleton and Prince William?
Royal author Omid Scobie hinted that there is a possibility that Prince Andrew defied His Majesty and wore the robe without warning.
Talking about the possibility that Prince Andrew was not authorized to wear the royal garment, the royal expert wrote this via Harper’s Bazaar: “Of course, the day didn’t come without some controversy—Prince Andrew showed up in his royal garter robes after being asked not to attract attention.”
After the coronation, Prince Andrew continued to defy King Charles by refusing to leave the Royal Lodge.
It has been revealed that King Charles is hoping to evict the Duke of York from the Royal Lodge and move him to nearby Frogmore Cottage.
Prince Andrew is supposed to vacate the premises by September so Prince William and his family can move into, “which has been cited as more suitable for a growing family.”
However, a friend of the disgraced prince told the Mirror that he would do no such thing and added: “If Charles wants Andrew to play ball and help the family, aren’t there better ways of going about it? Why not do the decent thing, sit down and talk? If they need the house for William, perhaps Andrew should be told. Perhaps William should invite his uncle for tea and explain.”
The person continued: “Or why doesn’t Charles invite his brother for a meeting and ask him if he’d leave Royal Lodge to help his nephew and the future of the monarchy.”
Prince Andrew is resisting the new Monarch.
Prince Andrew should follow the King’s lead.
