Many believe that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and it seems that Prince William might be trying to lure Prince Harry back to England with his food.
Or maybe he is competing with his younger brother to find out who is the better chef. Indeed, this week, a delicious, spicy, and juicy story emerged straight from the royal kitchens and backyards.
According to Palace sources, Prince William is now the king of the grill. Believe it or not, the heir to the throne picked up the title from his later grandfather, Prince Philip.
Queen Elizabeth II‘s husband knew his way around the barbecue grill, and Prince William has inherited his cooking skills.
According to The Sun, Prince William is the one who has taken over grilling duties at Balmoral for the entire family.
The media outlet shared: “Prince William is becoming king of the grill—like his late grandfather Prince Philip. He and his wife Kate arrived at Balmoral in the past few days to join the King, Queen, and other royals for their traditional annual retreat. And sources say William is taking on barbecue duties, previously well-guarded by Philip until he died in 2021.”
A royal source revealed that Kate Middleton, her three children — sons Prince George and Prince Louis and daughter Princess Charlotte — love Prince William’s cooking.
The person stated: “William is willingly taking on the role. His kids love barbecues, and they have been mixing with all their cousins on the estate. He remembers only too well how much Philip loved taking charge.”
The royal went on to say: “Harry is really missing out.”
Prince Philip was dubbed the “master of the grill” and Queen Elizabeth was very helpful in preparing healthy salads to enjoy with all the meats he cooked.
King Charles said in a tribute following his father’s death that his father took grilling seriously, and he was told to go away when he approached the passionate chef.
His Majesty explained: “He adored barbecuing, and he turned that into an interesting art form. And if I ever tried to do it, he’d say, ‘Go away!”
Prince Harry penned a moving message about his grandfather after his passing, revealing that he was indeed famous for his barbecues, and adding: “He will be remembered as the longest reigning consort to the Monarch, a decorated serviceman, a Prince and a Duke. But to me, like many of you who have lost a loved one or grandparent over the pain of this past year, he was my grandpa: master of the barbecue, legend of banter, and cheeky right ’til the end.”
That would make a great Netflix series: Prince Harry versus Prince William on the grill.
