Taylor Swift and her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce, had some interesting plans for Halloween that left many disappointed and heartbroken.
According to photos and interviews featured in The Daily Mail, the power couple found clever ways to keep families and young trick-or-treaters away from Kelce’s million-dollar Kansas City home.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift paid someone to put up crime scene tape all around the house. They also had a security guard parked in front of the home who told the children, “Nobody’s home today.”
However, families were confused because the lights inside the mansion were on. One mother told the media outlet: “Liars, Why is it blocked off over there, Mom?”
A child chimed in: “They’re not handing out candy, do you believe that?” Another mom stated: “Well, we know they’re lying. Swifty is here.”
The security officer sat in a car in the driveway and calmly ushered families away from the home, which upset one woman, who said: “I don’t get why he’s sitting in the car telling us nobody’s home when they are.”
It is believed that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift did spend the holiday together, but it is not known where. For those wondering what the pair might be doing for Thanksgiving, Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, spoke to PEOPLE and was asked that question.
Donna Kelce confessed that she will be spending the holiday with her eldest son, Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, his wife, Kylie McDevitt, and their three young daughters, Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett.
She said: “I’m not quite sure what Travis’ plans are. But I do know that I’ll be in Philadelphia because he [Jason] has a game that Sunday in Philadelphia, so I definitely will be there for that game.”
She added: “Ever since they were in college, we’ve always been on the road. I’ve never been in my own home cooking for Christmas or for holidays. It’s just the life of being a mom in the NFL. It’s always work, so you have to kind of go where they are.”
This month, Taylor Swift will launch the South American leg of her Eras tour, but she will be free on November 23 for the year-end holiday.
Swift will have a four-day break from November 19 to 23 before returning to Brazil, where she will perform in São Paulo on November 24.
