It has been claimed that Kate Middleton laughs whenever she hears Meghan Markle‘s name, and there might be a reason for that.
Earlier today, new excerpts from the book Endgame by royal journalist Omid Scobie were released in France.
According to the expert: “Every time she hears about Meghan, Kate shudders and giggles.” The extract has impeccable timing because of several events that took place this week.
Markle attended a red carpet event in California, where she had an awkward moment. At the Variety Power of Women, Markle was pulled back by her staff member, who wanted her to move along so other celebrities could stroll on the red carpet.
Prince Harry’s wife shared a nervous smile and laugh, continued to pose like a model, and answered a few questions about her upcoming business endeavors.
Markle’s uncomfortable moment was rapidly bumped from the headlines by Kate Middteoln’s red gown, 100-year tiara, and the flashing of her royal thighs.
While Markle was dealing with her problematic and unpleasant situation, the future Queen of England stole the show in a cape dress at a welcoming ceremony for South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife at a glittering banquet at Buckingham Palace.
The Princess of Wales made history by wearing the Strathmore Rose tiara — the stunning floral headpiece had not been seen in public since the 1930s.
Richard Eden weighed in on the two appearances by Markle and Middleton to say that one looks regal and the other is a wannabe.
He said: “While the Princess of Wales stole the show in a striking scarlet cape coat as she greeted South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol at the start of his state visit to Britain, Meghan was courting the cameras on a red carpet in Los Angeles.”
Eden went on to share: “The contrast was striking. Members of the Royal Family walk down a red carpet when the other guests at a film premiere or theatrical first night have already taken their seats. But here was Meghan, who would have joined Catherine at the opulent state banquet at Buckingham Palace, instead walking down the carpet at the Power Of Women event.”
He reminded Markle of all that she could have been by saying: “She posed for photographers like the wannabe starlet she once was, before being rushed along impatiently by another guest. Her interview emphasized that success is no longer in her own hands.”
Fox News royal writer Neil Sean revealed that Kate Mittdeleon’s almost Marilyn Monroe moment wiped Markle from the headlines.
He said this about Markle’s failure: “But now, while over in, shall we say, California, where a person may have thought appearing in a beige dress posing on a red carpet may have stolen the show. But this inadvertent moment from the Princess of Wales truly did create something.”
He added: “This particular moment, looking as beautiful as the lady in red stepping out of the car, created quite a few giggles, and let me tell you, it wiped off everybody else across the front pages. This will be the picture in magazines next week; this will be the talking point.”
The two women are not closer to making nice with each other.
