Kate Middleton is boldly taking up space and grabbing the headlines after leaving public life due to health issues.
This week, Princess Kate and her husband, Prince William, took over Scotland and put on a masterful display of how to mix business and pleasure.
The royal couple celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary and represented the monarchy via several royal engagements.
The Princess of Wales showed off her new sandy blonde hair color as she and Prince William strolled in the Tobermory streets on the Isle of Mull.
While in Scotland, Kate Middleton cheekily confirmed the famous or infamous saying that blondes have more fun.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, and her spouse lavished on PDA, hugging, shoulder-rubbing, and gentle caresses as they strolled and posed for pictures.
The showing of affection climaxed with Middleton touching her husband’s derriere several times. PEOPLE Magazine wrote about the booty touch: “The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, as the couple is called in Scotland, were openly affectionate with one another as they visited with locals in the town of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull on April 29, which coincided with their 14th wedding anniversary. Prince William, 42, and Princess Kate, 43, shared smiles, laughs, and the occasional touch as they visited the seaside town in coordinated blue button-down shirts and blazers. At one point, Kate — known to give her husband a tap on the backside occasionally! — leaned close to her husband, smiling as her hand grazed his back.”
PEOPLE Magazine also confirmed that Middleton and Prince William have deliberately moved to readjust their romance — a move against the Royal Family’s archaic protocols that ban the display of affection.
Prince William and Princess Kate have consciously decided to be more open about their affection for each other in public, allowing their fans to feel more connected to their love story.
Despite enduring a series of challenging events, including the sudden departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the COVID pandemic, the deaths of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II, and the devastating cancer diagnoses of both Kate Middleton and King Charles III, Prince William and his wife have shown remarkable resilience.
These painful events have made Prince William and Kate Middleton realize that nothing is more important than their love for each other.
Biographer Ingrid Seward told the magazine: “They are happy for people to see them be touchy-feely. They’re in a different phase of their life now. William is very protective and proud of her for coming through this and continuing her life.”
Historian Amanda Foreman also spoke to PEOPLE, saying: “There is a sense of protectiveness and partnership…And just in time, frankly — if there was ever a time when the country required stability, this is it. The international stage is so unstable, it is rather extraordinary to see how both have risen to the occasion.”
The couple is charting a new course.
