Megyn Kelly Talks About Donald Trump’s Mental Decline In A Way Nikki Haley Wishes She Could

Megyn Kelly Donald Trump Nikki Haley Mental Decline

Megyn Kelly is never one to stay away from controversy, and she might just find some real trouble with her latest target.

After moderating the latest Republican primary debate, she was featured on Glenn Beck‘s podcast and she said a few interesting things about former President Donald Trump.

For the conservative political commentator, Mr. Trump has lost a few steps since he first ran for office in 2016. While she went harder on the real estate mogul’s likely 2024 opponent, President Joe Biden, Trump will probably not appreciate the comments.

The businessman likes to portray himself as a person full of vigor. Kelly used a few examples to illustrate her point. One of them involves Trump repeatedly saying that former President Barack Obama is running the country.

When people called him on the mistake, Trump said that he was just being sarcastic. However, Kelly thinks he is lying because she believes his mental health is declining.

Beck asked Kelly “If Trump faded from where he was in 2020.” She replied: “Yeah, I do. I mean, I’d take him over Joe Biden any day of the week. I don’t think he’s going to, you know, fill out this term, never mind a second. But there’s no question Trump has lost a step- or multiple steps.”

She continued: “He is confusing Joe Biden for Obama. I know he’s now saying he intentionally did that; go back and look at the clips. It wasn’t intentional. Look, any of us could have a slip of the tongue, but it’s happening to him repeatedly. The reference is about how somebody is going to get us into World War Two, confusing countries, confusing cities where he is, and it’s happening more and more.”

For the former Fox News anchor, the decline is normal, regardless of what Trump tries to say. She explained: “With all due respect to Trump: This is what happens when you’re 77-years-old. Trump seems inhuman, but he’s not inhuman. He’s a human. He’s a man. DeSantis’s line about Father Time spares no one was a good one.”

She concluded: “So, look, if it’s between Trump and Biden, I don’t think there’s any question who’s more fit and more capable. But are we really going to pretend that Donald Trump is just as vibrant and mentally sharp as he was in ’16?”

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have tried to make age an issue in the race. However, they never took Kelly’s angle, probably because they are trying not to offend Trump’s MAGA supporters.

Kelly and Trump have had a rocky relationship since the Republican titan first entered the political arena. However, they made peace earlier this year with a big interview.

Some observers say that Trump should think twice before responding because a new feud with Kelly would bring a lot of conversations about the need for new leadership.

While he attacks Biden routinely on the matter, Mr. Trump probably does not want more people talking about his age. Moreover, with a sizable lead in the polls, it is not the time to risk it all on a feud with Megyn Kelly.
