Katherine Leigh Mehta, a bikini model and photographer from Texas, was arrested for doing a long list of inappropriate things.
On Saturday, the 26-year-old woman, who also goes by the name of Max McIntyre, was paid to take pictures at a wedding at The Springs Event Venue on Thompson Road.
Mehta/McIntyre was caught having sex with one of the guests at the gathering.
A person, who was at the ceremony contacted an off-duty officer, who was working as a security guard for the bride and groom.
When several deputies with the Parker County Sheriff’s Office attempted to talk to Mehta and ordered her to leave, all hell broke loose.
She started screaming and then urinated on a tree near the reception. She told the officers that she was the second place finalist for the 2018 Maxim Cover Girl.
She stood on a water fountain where she insulted the guests and threatened the law enforcers.
After being placed in a patrol car, Mehta continued to blast the deputies as she was taken to jail.
Mehta had this to say to the deputies: “Y’all families will be dead by Christmas, Y’alls daughters are dead. My dad is going to find out about this, and y’all are (expletive) dead. D-E-A-D.”
Police discovered that Mehta was carrying a prescription bottle of Alprazolam and they believe she mixed it with alcohol which led to her erratic behavior.
She was released on a $10,738 bail and has declined to address the matter. However, she has returned to social media to post sexy pictures.
Her sister spoke to local media and said that she was sick while working at the wedding after one of the guests spiked her drinks.
The sibling added: “She said she went outside, and she said these two men tried to approach her and do inappropriate things. And she said she was yelling and trying to get help, and things got turned around in a negative way.”
The model has been charged with public intoxication and obstruction/retaliation.
Mehta has become an overnight celebrity and fans as well as trolls are now contacting her on social media.
A person mocking her stated: “How much do you charge for your “full services” photography session? Asking for myself. That wedding guest sure treated himself — lucky dude.”
While this supporter shared a more understanding point of view by writing: “Hey, I’m really sorry to hear you got arrested. The cops do the same thing to me, and it ruins my reputation as well. I’m wondering why you didn’t give people magazine an interview as they are claiming in their article about you. If you need a good lawyer, I know a founder at Lerner and associates who are mostly Canadian but are the best of the best.”
This other fan chimed in: “OMG, every time I hear this incident and you people are mocking her, y’all are monsters, y’all make me sick!!!! Look at Tump; No publicity is bad publicity! She’ll definitely get more job offers.”
For many, the mental health component of this incident should not be overlooked.
