When it comes to peace in the Royal Family, Prince William is sending mixed signals about his brother, Prince Harry.
Since Meghan Markle got into the picture, the two siblings have been at odds. The Prince of Wales finds that The Duke of Sussex rushed into a marriage with a woman he barely knew.
Prince Harry never forgave his brother for meddling in his love story. Moreover, things got more complicated after the wedding.
The renegade royal believes that Prince William and their father, King Charles III, did not really support him when his wife was dealing with mental health issues.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle later left the British monarchy and turned their grievances into a profitable business endeavor.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not hesitate to blame Prince William and his spouse, Kate Middleton, for some of the drama that unfolded in the Royal Family.
Markle previously said in a bombshell interview that Middleton made her cry before her big wedding in 2018. In the teaser for the new episodes of their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry says the Royal Family lies to protect Prince William, the heir to the throne.
The future King of England did not take the accusations lightly and has told friends that he is done with his brother and reconciliation is not in the cards.
A friend of the father of three told The Daily Beast: “It’s hard to imagine how devastating the last three years have been for William. The brothers were so close, and they had such an incredible bond. It’s impossible really to express what a massive, terrible, ongoing headache this has been for William in the past few years.”
The person continued: “The family blames Meghan for it all, really. They absolutely f–king hate her, basically. It’s a huge disaster. Growing up, the brothers were so close. Harry would do anything to be with William. They lost their mum, and their dad was really disengaged, so they had this incredible, incredible bond. Everyone knew it.”
The royal insider concluded: “And then Meghan came along. Everyone warned him off her, but he wouldn’t listen, and she just ripped him away. The bond is gone, completely gone, and this film is just the latest betrayal. William really, really, really hates both of them now. It’s really toxic and destructive for all of them. At the end of the day, they are a family, and their whole family life has been ruined by Meghan. You can’t imagine how bad it really is.”
Those comments paint a dark future for any kind of peace between the brothers. However, all is not bleak. A new report suggests that Prince William remains very protective of his younger brother and does not “tolerate” people talking negatively about him.
While the Prince of Wales is dealing with “anger and sadness” over the Netflix docuseries, he does not allow others to slam his brother. However, working together again is unlikely.
The future King is not letting the tense situation with the Sussexes cloud his judgment when it comes to basic human decency and doing the right thing.
A source told The Telegraph: “Working together will never happen. But can they be brothers again? You’ve got to hope.”
In short, Prince William really dislikes the Sussexes at the moment; however, the door is not totally shut on reconciliation. This revelation is progress.
It seems that Prince Harry, Prince William, and King Charles do agree on the fact that at some point in the future, they will manage to move beyond all of the drama.
