Taylor Swift has decided that she will be there in person at the Allegiant Stadium for the Super Bowl to root for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, but it will take some serious and detailed planning that involves a lot of flying, and no sleep.
Last week, it became official that Travis Kelce, who happens to be Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, is heading to Super Bowl LVIII.
The Kansas City Chiefs managed to beat the Baltimore Ravens to achieve that glorious goal. The biggest sporting event of the year will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
And that is a major problem for Taylor Swift. During Super Bowl weekend, the artist will be in Tokyo, Japan, as part of her Eras Tour.
There is a 17-hour gap between Sin City and the Asian country, but the pop singer plans to board her private jet immediately after the sold-out show and rush to the US to cheer her man on.
A source close to Swift confirmed to Page Six that all bets say that she will be in Las Vegas. Page Six noted that “given this exciting revelation,” they have decided to dissect “Kelce and Swift’s respective schedules for the weekend and figured out a way the singer could make it to Las Vegas in time to watch her beau play.”
It went on to break down how this would be accomplished: “Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of Vegas, meaning that Swift’s Feb. 10 performance (which is likely to start at 8 p.m. local time) will begin at 11 a.m. Pacific Time the day prior. If she performs for at least three hours, which she did at previous Eras Tour stops, she’ll be off the stage by 11 p.m. Tokyo time, 2 p.m. Vegas time. She could then quickly rush to her private jet, like she did when she finished her run in Argentina, fly for about 10 and a half hours, and land in Sin City on Saturday by 5:30 p.m. local time.”
Believe it or not, the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C. has been forced to give its opinion on Taylor Swift’s busy travel schedule.
The embassy shared a statement revealing that Taylor Swift will be able to perform both duties and added: “Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins.”
The statement went on to share: “We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red.”
It will indeed be a hectic 48 hours for Swift because, after the Super Bowl, she will immediately leave Las Vegas to get to Australia for her seven shows in Melbourne and Sydney on February 16–26.
