Donald Trump is still telling anyone who will listen that his wife, Melania Trump, will eventually step out on the campaign trail “a lot a lot” to help him clinch the GOP nomination and eventually give him the glamorous boost that he needs to beat Joe Biden in the November presidential election.
Most recently, during a town hall with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, the former president explained that his wife is a “private person” who is focused on her family.
The billionaire real estate mogul confessed that Melania Trump does not like being on the campaign trail, but she enjoys the results, which is why she will make the sacrifice for him and the nation.
The former reality star stated: “It’s funny; she was a very successful model, very, very successful, and yet she was a private person. She’s going to be out a lot. Not because she likes doing it, but she likes the results. She wants to see this country really succeed. She loves the country.”
He continued: “You know, a lot of first ladies would go out —they want to be everywhere. They get angry at their husband because he’s not introducing them. If I didn’t introduce Melania, she’d be very happy about it. She’s just a different kind of a person.”
Trump added: “And she loves the country. She’s going to be out a lot, but she does it for the good of the country, not for herself. She’s somebody with a lot of confidence. She doesn’t need that.”
He went on to confirm that Melania Trump’s entire life revolves around their “very tall” son, Baron Trump. He claimed: “Her life revolves around that boy. It’s so important to her. At the same time, it also revolves around our country and the success of our country. She’s raised a lot of money for charity. She’s a private person.”
While there are some things that the former first lady is willing to do, there is one direction she will never take, no matter how much money or love is involved.
Donald Trump and his businesses are in deep trouble after Judge Arthur Engoron threw the book at him and his adult children, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, with $364 million in fines and barred them from serving as officers or directors of any New York corporation for three years.
Many believed that Melania Trump would do the logical thing and step up and take the reign. Legal expert Neama Rahmani explained to Newsweek how Melania Trump or Ivanka Trump could be the saviors of the Trump empire: “Engoron’s order prevents Trump and his sons from serving as officers or directors in New York, but they can still be shareholders. That means they can own the companies, but they can’t run them.”
Rahmani noted: “If Trump needs a family member to serve as a director or officer to run the business, Melania or Ivanka can fill those roles.”
But the former model says no, never; she has zero interest. Melania Trump’s former chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, explained to the publication why she is not interested in saving her husband’s business: “I just don’t know that she would want to take on that much responsibility unless she was guaranteed some major control or power. I suppose she would potentially do it for [her and Trump’s son] Barron’s sake so he could eventually run everything if he wanted, but I don’t think she would do anything if there’s a potential that she would lose any kind of money or be on the hook for paying taxes, etc.”
