Alexis Sharkey, a famous influencer on Instagram from Houston, Texas, has been found dead.
Hours prior, Sharkey’s mother, Stacey Clark Robinault, and her husband, Tom Sharkey, had taken to social media to reveal that she had gone missing and pleaded with the public for help.
A city worker discovered Sharkey’s body off a Houston interstate. The maintenance worker spotted Sharkey’s feet sticking out of the bushes on the side of the road.
In a statement issued by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, it was revealed that the body, which had not been clothed, had no visible injuries.
An autopsy has been scheduled; therefore, the cause of death is unknown. According to a press release from the Houston Police: “Houston police have learned the identity of a deceased female found at 1000 Red Haw Lane about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday (November 28). The female has been identified as Alexis Leigh Robinault by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.”
Sharkey’s mom took to Facebook to confirm the sad death. She revealed that the entire family is heartbroken by the outcome. Robinault also did an interview where she made it clear — her daughter was murdered.
Robinault told local news outlet KPRC-TV: “We are completely wrecked. The family is just so devastated — her cousins, her sisters, her 13-year-old sister. It’s just so difficult.”
She added: “There is nothing to me that suggests that this was an accident. And there’s nothing to me that suggests anything else, other than that this was done to her. And I believe that in my mother’s gut.”
The mourning mother went on to explain: “I do believe she was murdered. Yes. From what I’ve been able to gather as well as a mother’s gut. I learned very young as a mom to trust my gut. It’s not let me down.”
A female friend, who wished to remain anonymous, also spoke to the network and made the alarming claim that Sharkey feared for her life.
The pal confessed: “She confided in me that night … she’s petrified. This girl is scared for her life.”
Sharkey, who was born Alexis Robinault, was raised in Pennsylvania, with two younger sisters. She moved to Houston with her husband in early 2020.
The 26-year-old worked as a hair and skincare consultant. The husband also spoke to the media to reveal that his wife was not very happy, and he has been getting death threats since the body was found.
He confessed: “She wasn’t happy. She was stressed. I would cuddle her to try to make her strong. She was an amazing woman. Sir, my wife, was an amazing woman. She really was. There’s always other sides to everything. I was the one holding her, cuddling her, and building her back up. I don’t need to set the record straight. I’ll let it play out the way it is. I know what my life was with my wife.”
He claimed: “It’s horrible. People are talking tons of crap. I’m getting death threats and stuff. None of that bothers me. What bothers me is that world and everybody in it focus on all of the stuff that doesn’t matter … It should have been focused on finding my wife. Everybody was still looking for her, and I located her Sunday morning in the coroner’s office. They couldn’t ID my wife. They didn’t know who she was. She was just there.”
The husband is also denying that they had a fight before she went missing and he added: “We didn’t fight when she left. I just told her she couldn’t drive under the influence … She left anyhow. This is where we’re at.”
According to his social media pages, he grew up in a loving Christian home, he is anti-abortion, not a fan of Joe Biden, and said COVID-19 is a hoax. Tom is also into bodybuilding.
The department’s homicide division is now handling the case. Anyone with information can contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.”
