Things seem to be going well for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, as the two have been enjoying a lot of positive attention recently, and there are no obvious issues surrounding their marriage that observers know of.
And yet, there have been various subtle indications that things might not be as dandy behind the scenes, although nobody was quite sure if there was any truth to that.
Recently, the American actress has been dropping some hints indicating that things might indeed be challenging for her when they are not in the public eye.
Upon being congratulated on her successful marriage by producer Pharrell Williams, she responded with “Thank you, they don’t make it easy,” although it was not clear who she was referring to.
Here is what the hitmaker said that elicited the answer: “It’s so beautiful, your union. Love is amazing. It’s beautiful. Don’t ever take that for granted, what it means in today’s climate. I want to tell you; it’s so significant for so many of us. Seriously. It’s significant. We cheer you guys on.”
Speculations are divided over the exact meaning of the message, with some fans convinced that it was targeted at the royal family itself, while others suspect that Markle might be talking to her followers.
It is no secret that there has been a lot of attention firmly focused on the relationship between her and Prince Harry, especially since the two got married, and not all of that has been positive.
However, Markle has been holding the front quite well so far, and her attitude through the whole ordeal has been commendable, according to some.
It remains to be seen if she will manage to hold up in the future as well, as things will likely only keep getting more complicated for her in the relationship.
It does seem like Markle is determined to make things work though, and has been putting a lot of effort into that.
She is relying more on her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, who knows better than anyone what it means to join the royal family.
Robert Lacey, an expert on the royal family, explained: “Coming from different backgrounds, I think, they have more the makings of a team than people imagined. And they have a common interest as partners to these two men who are so crucial to the monarchy, along with their children.”
One person, who is happy with recent changes, shared: “It is so nice to see the two duchesses happy together. I wish the papers would stop the negativity and be kind to Meghan.”
It seems apparent that the criticism she has received is affecting Markle.
