Michelle Obama has been declared the most powerful and effective speaker in American politics.
Former President Barack Obama confessed at the Democratic National Convention that he was the most stupid man on this planet to have accepted the offer to deliver a speech right after his wife’s memorable oratory performance.
In other words, no one can compare or compete with the former first lady. Melania Trump learned that lesson the hard way.
Yet, Barack and Michelle Obama‘s eldest, Malia Obama, has revealed that she has a way with words.
However, she will be using her voice and talent very differently from her famous parents. Malia Obama has quietly asserted her independence and potential to the world.
Malia Obama has gracefully engaged with the media while maintaining a respectful distance from the political arena.
Appearing in a segment at the Sundance Film Festival, Malia Obama spoke eloquently and passionately about her short film The Heart.
She produced the movie under the stage name Malia Ann (Ann is her middle name).
Miss Obama, who graduated from Harvard University, explained: “The film is about lost objects and lonely people and forgiveness and regret, but I also think it works hard to uncover where tenderness and closeness can exist in these things.”
She added: “We hope you enjoy the film, and it makes you feel a bit less lonely, or at least reminds you not to forget about the people who are.”
The 26-year-old gave her first red-carpet interview while attending a film festival in France this month.
The budding filmmaker graced the Deauville American Film Festival, where her debut project was honored with a significant award, a testament to her burgeoning success in the film industry.
While on the red carpet, Malia Obama discussed with Paris Match the joy of receiving an invitation to and nomination at the prestigious event.
The former first daughter was honest and raw as she revealed nervousness by saying: “I’m so excited. I mean, I’ve never done anything like this … so of course [I’m] a little bit terrified, but mostly just excited.”
She also talked about fashion, telling the French publication: “Vivienne Westwood, Queen. It’s cool. I don’t know as much about fashion, but I’m happy to be wearing it.”
Miss Obama won the Young Spirit Award for the following reasons: “For this 50th anniversary edition, the Deauville American Film Festival wanted to celebrate the new figures of tomorrow’s cinema, by awarding a prize to an emerging talent, specially created for the event. In this exceptional year, the Young Spirit Award goes to director Malia Ann, in her presence, for her first short film, The Heart.”
Many applaud Malia Obama for forging her career and not meddling in the political dramas involving Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, or Joe Biden.
However, some believe that it is an important election and that, as an American who grew up in the White House, she should voice her opinion on the pressing issues.
