Adele, who said hello to her California dream, is now bidding farewell to the Golden State after a significant and disappointing career setback.
The singer left the UK in 2016. She was tired of the harsh winter weather because she struggled with seasonal depression and wanted a bigger bang for her buck regarding multi-million dollar properties.
Now, eight years later, the international powerhouse has decided that no amount of fancy mansions and warm weather will convince her to stay permanently on the West Coast.
Sources close to the star spoke to The Daily Mail, revealing that a remarkable and humiliating event has pushed Adele, her young son, Angelo, and her fiancé, Paul Rich, to flee the United States.
A person close to Adele revealed that she has been actively searching for a big home in the UK, which is “beautiful and secure in the capital.”
Adele hoped to follow in the footsteps of fellow pop star Lady Gaga and have an acting career; however, the mega-filmmakers has left her “disillusioned” with Hollywood.
Despite her team’s best efforts to inform the big producers that she is available, no one has come calling.
An insider close to the singer told The Daily Beast: “She thought she’d already be getting movie offers after her reps put the word out a few months ago that she wanted to follow in Lady Gaga’s footsteps and segue into film.But nothing has materialized on that front so far.”
Sources told The Daily Mail that Adele has grown weary of gun violence in Los Angeles and is appalled that Donald Trump is on his way back to the White House.
The Mail explained: “Ultimately, the novelty of life in Los Angeles has worn off. The city’s gated communities, high crime rates, high taxes, and racial divides are beginning to grate. She was apparently horrified to learn that, in America, gun violence is the leading cause of death in children. While she is not political, the prospect of Donald Trump being re-elected appalls her.”
With her Hollywood dream taking a different turn, Adele now looks forward to new beginnings in Europe.
The pop queen will split her time between the UK and her newly-purchased $58 million Beverly Hills mansion, which she shares with Paul.
The insider shared: “She plans on keeping her house in LA but wants to spend at least half the year back home.”
According to the sources who spoke to The Daily Mail, Paul tried vainly to convince her to stay in California.
The person in the know said: “Rich has been trying to talk her out of it, but Adele is a powerful woman. Once she’s made up her mind, no one can change it.”
Sources told The Daily Mail why Rich Paul cannot permanently relocate to London: “He is a successful sports agent who has built up a massive empire thanks to his professional relationships with basketball players, most notably LA Lakers star LeBron James. He also has three children from a previous relationship, all of whom live in LA. I’m told there is ‘no way’ he can relocate with Adele to London. The plan seems to be to shuttle back and forth on private jets as schedules permit. They both think it can work, although not everyone is convinced.”
Last month, Adele concluded her two-year Las Vegas residency and revealed that she plans to take an extended break to get married and have a baby.
Speaking from the stage of Caesars Palace, Adele explained: “Once I am done with all my obligations and all of my shows, I want to have a baby. I want a girl because I’ve already got a boy. With me as her mother and Rich as her father, she’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?”
Adele is ready for something new.
